I know that this product is more expensive than some but i love it because i am very fair skin and i burn very easy and it the only thing that works for me : )
I like these ombrelle lotions because I can use them on my face aswell if I forget my usual facial sunscreen. I find that it absorbs fairly quickly and doesn't leave much of a residue. I guess the effectiveness is good because I haven't burned but I'm generally not prone to burning. I found I did still get a bit of color even while using this sunscreen. The smell is just your average sunscreen. I generally purchase these on sale so I don't find the price too high.
The Ombrelle suncreen was actually recommended to me by my dermatologist. My skin is fair and very prone to sunburns and I've tried a great share of sunscreens in order to prevent me from looking like a red, ripe tomato. Ombrelle in SPF 40 is the one I trust to protect my skin against harmful UVA and UVB rays. The formula is creamy enough to blend into the skin easily and the scent is not overpowering. This does not leave a greasy/oily film on my skin, but actually helps it stay moisturized. It is also waterproof, but I like to reapply it every hour regardless. Great for every season, but especially for protection against sunburn. I have not burnt once since using this. It also gives an even application, so you're not stuck with areas that are red and patchy because you did not blend it well. I also like the fact that they provide high ranges of SPF. Great for those who spend most of their time outdoors.
I use this sunscreen in SPF 45. I used to love it but lately I have not been impressed. Originally I was a faithful Banana Boat user, but I went to Dominican and burned for the first time in my life using Banana Boat SPF 45. After that I decided that if it wasn’t standing up to the strong Dominican sun, it probably wasn’t cutting it in Canada either. I had read a lot of good things about this sunscreen and although it was pricier, it seemed like it was worth the money (in my view, sun protection is not one of those things you should be scrimping on anyway…)
I used this sunscreen on a recent trip of Egypt and it did the trick – I did not burn at all. I figure if my Banana Boat failed in the Caribbean but this stood up to the Egyptian desert then it is a winner. My only problem with it is that it is super greasy! I have that sticky feeling ALL DAY until I wash it off and that really bugs me, especially at the beach.
To summarize: GREAT sun protection, but TOO greasy.
I love this sunscreen. I am very picky on suncreens because I can't take the smell of them but this stuff smells AMAZING compared to all other sunscreens out there that I have tried. Although I am of darker complexion, I still do burn when I am in the hot hot sun for a long time. I find when I go island hopping that this stuff is strong enough to prevent me from burning. I normally use the SPF 30.It is not greasy or smelly and is highly effective. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
This is the best sunscreen I have ever used for my body. The smell isn't really so bad (because most sunscreems STINK). I do not recommend putting this on your face if you have oily skin because it will make you very very oily and shiny! In fact that is the only thing that I do not like about this product, I do find it to be quite greasy. Otherwise, it does work really well! I never worry too much about burning when I wear this. It has Mexoryl SX and Parsol 1789, two essential ingredients for broad spectrum UVA UVB protection. Best sunscreen you can find at the store!
I agree this stuff is amazing. I only ever buy the spf 15 and I'm really fair skinned. I love the spray on version as it's easy to apply and not too greasy. I never burn with it, the smell isn't too overpowering and I'll never use another sunscreen again!
This is the best suntan lotion that I have used in a long time. SPF 30 is all you really need. Any higher doesn't do much good (at least this is what I have read/been told). It moisturizes and it's not greasy, like a lot of suntan lotions that I have tried and tossed out, and it's also water-resistant. After swimming though, I would still recommend re-applying just in case- especially if you've been in for a long time.
I used this stuff in the Dominican Republic, where it can get really hot and sunny, and I didn't burn once! This stuff is great!
