Shocking Mystery With A Hint of Romance

Interesting book with a great twist that comes so unexpectantly in the second part of the book. There is a lot of mystery, with a little bit of love mixed in. The characters are likeable and well-developed. To me, all the characters are realistic and I found myself invested in all of them. Lisa Scottoline is an amazing author who combines chick-lit books with mystery.

The main idea is about a man who pretends to be a baseball coach for a high school team, but he really has his own motives.The real motives are shocking.

I am not the most avid reader and sometimes find it hard to get into a book. This novel kept my attention the whole way through. It is about this man who is keeping a lot of secrets and he comes to a school and fakes to be a substitute teacher. There are a bunch of students on the baseball team for which he is helping coach and their families are all keeping secrets or falling apart in different ways. The plot brings this "teacher" and all the students together with many twists and turns. I would have never expected the ending to be the way it was and for things to turn out how they did at the end. Lisa Scottoline is an amazing writer and keeps your wanting to read more.
