My love affair with nail polish started when I was knee high to a grasshopper. My Aunt always had impeccable nails, and well, what more does a young girl dream of other than pretty things, pink things, dress up...and well, in my case I was also dreaming of marrying one of the New Kids on the Block. Sure, I started out dipping into my Mom's cast-away bottles, and my standards were not what you would call "high". My ranking was basically a "how non-goopy is it?" and "can I get it on my nail?". However, fast-forward through high school, 2 university degrees, and s few years of adult-like working-gal city-livin', and my standards have been elevated. For me, now, price and long-lasting are essential. Sure, there are nail polish option in the high-end boutique stores that cost $30-$40 or even more. Seriously? It's nail polish! Maybe I would buy it if the purchase of the bottle came with an actual manicure, or at least a little neck massage to compensate for the whiplash I received when I noticed the price on the bottle! Listen, drug store nail polish is perfectly fine. Sure, it may chip after 4 or 5 days. But, come on, as if boutique nail polish wouldn't! It's called real life, ladies. We don't sit around all day with our hands in the air. We work, we type, we do dishes, we carry bags, we search through the bottom of our purses for the ever-hiding lip gloss, we peel off those annoying covers on the top of wine bottles....our hands are our tools! So, for my tool-hands, I always turn to O.P.I. for honest-to-goodness quality. I don't know about ingredients, I just know it lasts, it works, it goes on great, and unless I happen to have been scrubbing my bathtub sans gloves, it stays pretty darn shiny well. While I never want to be that gal who gets sucked in by cutesy names (hello, wine makers, enough with the targeting...if your wine were actually any good you wouldn't need to call it something all pink and girly!....but I digress), I fully admit I love the O.P.I. nail polish names. I think I almost adopt a Russian-vixen accent when I put on my "Vodka and Caviar" polish. So, to make a long story short (I know, too late...it's just not in my make-up....hahaha, make-up, get it?...a beauty review!....hahaha, I crack me up!!)...OK, so, as I was saying, just go and buy O.P.I. It's good. It's worth it. And, whether or not you all of a sudden start speaking Russian, or any other collection-language, you'll be happy with the end-result.
OPI is one of my go-to brands for nail polish, and seeing as how I have over 500 bottles that says a lot. Their formulas are consistently smooth and saturated, and easy to apply. I have quite wide and curved nail beds, and their Pro-Wide brush is a lifesaver for me, but do be aware that if you have tiny nails it might be a bit of a pain.
Also, if you are in Quebec or Ontario and there is a Dollarama near you, they often have last season's OPI polishes in deadstock for three dollars, instead of the eight or nine dollars you'd pay at a salon. If you're not the type who needs the newest colours and finishes the day they come out, this is a great way to pick some up and save a few dollars ;)
J adore ce vernis, il laisse un Bon fini Et est facile à appliquer, j adore les couleurs qui sont proposées qui sont tres variées. Il reste assez longtemps ainsi que la qualité du fini.
I love this brand of nail polish, it is one of the best in the industry. They have such a great variety of colours and they are expensive but totally worth every penny. They come out very smooth and occasionally they chip depending on what colour you get, but other than that they stay on for a very long time. I also love their special collections and it's great inspiration to paint your nails. They are usually 9 bucks to 12 bucks to where you go, however if you look around for it, you can find it for really cheap. I get my OPI nail polish for 5 bucks at Trade Secrets and I used to get it for 10 before.
I love OPI!! I do find it to be expensive though. But it really is good quality. The colour choices are great and the polish lasts. It doesn't seem to chip or wear off like other brands do.
love the colour choices and love that it lasts through daily tasks longer than other polishes . I would definitely recomend OPI to my family and friends
I love the variety of colours, I love how you can blend the colours and make new designs . The price is worth it for the quality and quantity you get!
My favorite nail polish. Received a gift pact of five colors and fell in love. The colors are so rich and goes on like silk. Wish it lasted longer.
I love this brand of nail polish. I used to think that nail polish was nail polish and paying more for a certain brand wasn't worth it. Now that I've started to use OPI polishes I can tell the colour intensity, durability and sheen all showed an improvement.
