Works as intended but not much of a toy
This product works just as intended and the kids had fun growing and coloring the Orbeez. The colors were very pretty and the containers are easy to use and to drain without any color "leaking" or staining other things. My reason for only 3 stars and not recommending it is as a toy is that there was nothing to do with the beads after they were grown and colored. We put them in bags but really not sure what to do with them now.
Fun for all ages
My children loved playing with these Orbeez. The kit came with one tube of already grown Orbeez, 2 packets of Orbeez to grow and 3 dye colors. The directions are step by step easy to follow. We added blue and red to make purple. At first it wasn’t absorbing into the Orbeez and was just staining my child’s hands. So we waited overnight and all the dye was absorbed and ready to play with. It was fun for my children to experiment with making their own color of Orbeez and growing them. The kit also comes with 2 packets of ungrown Orbeez. Those took about 4 hours to be fully grown.
Water Beads With Extra Fun
My kids loved the Orbeez Color Meez Activity Kit. It gives them the opportunity to color water beads in shades that they like, then layer them to make visions. We first put the dried Orbeez in water and put aside to let them grow. Then we divided the already grown Orbeez and colored them and created a mermaid scene. I liked that you are forced to extend The activity over a couple days due to the fact that some of the beats are dried. The one downfall is that the coloring stains her hands just like food coloring, however it was a small price to pay to not have to sort through individual beads to find the perfect colors.
Orbeez color fun
My daughters (6 & 9) enjoyed playing with this set. They loved watching the beads grow and then picking the colors they wanted to use. The bottles made growing, coloring, and draining the water easy. We will keep them to use with other orbeez. If you leave the colored orbeez all together in a bin after making them the colors bleed together and they all end up the same color. The instructions do say to store the colors separate if you want them to stay. My kids didn't care the color changed and still enjoy playing with them.
Lots of fun!
My kids have played with Orbeez before so they were excited to try these out and color their own. It does come with one tube of Orbees already made so that is just ready for the color to be added. The coloring comes in small, squeezable tubes and is easy to use with no mess. Just simply add the color to the tube (with the already made Orbeez) and let it sit for about 30 minutes for the color to absorb through and rinse them off when time is up. This kit also comes with Orbeez that you add to the water and let them grow for about 4 hours which is difficult for kids because they’re anxious to color them. My kids thoroughly enjoyed this Orbeez kit and I like that it’s fun and a mess free activity. I’d like to note that I can’t comment on whether or not the color will stain or not because I supervised this part of the activity.
Fun Activity for kids!
My boys, aged 7 and 9, LOVED the Orbeez Color Meez Activity Kit!! They really enjoyed mixing the colors with the Orbeez and creating their own colors. They had so much fun playing with them and making more. I will say it can be a bit messy but it kept my boys entertained and busy for awhile and off their electronics so that's a bonus from me! :) I would definitely buy this product again for the enjoyment it gave my kids. I definitely recommend them.
Time consuming but overall fun
My kids enjoyed these a lot. There are two bottles that come with this, which was perfect for my two girls. One bottle already had beads that were grown. You could use the other bottle to grow a pack of beads. It took about 4 hours for the beads to grow. My girls really enjoyed playing with the grown beads as they have a wet and slippery feel to them. I didn't really like that the beads were constantly wet, as I felt like it would mess up whatever surface they were playing on. Therefore, I make my girls play with these only in a bin or bucket. To color these beads was easy enough, but I found that when I shook the bottle of beads that were already grown, the ink came out of the cap a little. I ended up having to take out half of the beads and only doing it with a half full container so this wouldn't happen. It definitely is a long process to do these, as there's a lot of waiting in between. But overall this was a fun activity for my girls. I probably wouldn't buy these again, as I'm not a huge fan of how wet they were.
Awesome
Fun for the whole family. Even my son decided to get involved he’s to cool for crafts but he loved this. Even if he doesn’t say so moms always know!!!!
