I could barely get this torch out of the package before Husband came along and took it from me!

He loves the torches we see at the tapas restaurants we go to, so to have on of our (his) own, is pretty amazing. We are definitely looking forward to entertaining guests with some crème brule and other fun treats that will definitely impress them!

The butane was simple to fill the torch with and only took a few minutes. This is not included with the torch – you have been warned!

For igniting the torch, you just push down the flame slide on, push down the safety lock, and press the ignition button.

You can easily adjust the flame length and can either lock the flame in place, or just let go of the ignite button and it turns off immediately.

I really do like the safety lock, so it won’t accidentally go off when we are not using it.

It is easy to grip, and seems quite durable. The plastic exterior was a bit questionable at first, but once we started using it, it’s of no concern to us.

We have used this for cheese, marshmallows, vegetables, carmelizing onions, and so much more.

For anyone who experiments more with recipes and food, this is definitely a fun kitchen toy to have!

When I first tried this culinary torch, I was a little bit nervous. Anything that involves gas and fire makes me a bit uneasy, so I was very pleasantly surprised with this product. Not only are the safety features perfect to put my mind at ease, the product itself was so easy to pick up and use that I don't feel nervous about using it at all anymore.

The torch does not come with butane, so I picked up a can from the store and it was very easy to figure out how to fill the torch. It takes five seconds and you can tell right away when it's full.

The product itself feels very sturdy and well-made, and the base works well to keep it balanced. I never had any trouble with it falling down or even being knocked down from a gentle tap, so I could leave it around the kitchen without worrying about it.

The flame is easy to control, and can be adjusted on the fly with a little slider on the side of the torch. The shortest setting worked well for precision, while the largest flame had great reach, so you can adjust it based on what you need. The safety lock means that you never have to worry about it being used by kids, or being turned on accidentally. There's also a button you can press to keep the flame going continuously once it's on, for those cases where you might need to use the torch for a few minutes at a time.

The torch is very lightweight, which I appreciated when using it for longer periods of time, and based on my usage it holds quite a bit of gas, so you don't need to worry about refilling it constantly.

All in all I really enjoyed it, and this product met all my expectations. Plus I'm no longer nervous about using these kind of culinary torches!
