This is a great device for balling melons, other fruits and cakes. I like that the fruit didn't seem to get stuck in it. I also like the idea of a carving product with the melon baller, but you do have to be careful not to poke yourself with it. Having both these tools in one helps to reduce clutter in the kitchen, so it's great for people who don't have a ton of space.

My one complaint would be that I was unable to make this work with ice-cream. Whether or not I was doing it incorrectly I can't say, but for me the ice cream was a no go when it came to balling.

Other than that this is a durable, well-made and handy device for any kitchen!

- Works great with melons and hard fruit to create perfect balls or cut shapes.

- Didn't work with ice-cream.
- Care is needed with sharp cutting tool.
