We are down to two burners on our stove, and one of them is small, the other one is LARGE. Unfortunately while cooking on the larger element means a hot pot or pan handle. I have been getting by with a kitchen towel to avoid burning my hands.

OrBlues handy silicone handle cover is an amazing invention – how did I not know about these before ?

It is nice and thick, with a comfortable grooved exterior. The interior has lengthwise grooves within it in order to ensure your pot will not slip out of your hands while using the sleeve.

It also has a handy hanging hole if that is how you store your kitchen gadgets – I prefer the kitchen linen and over mitt drawer.

If you do get gunk in the grooves, give it a long soak in hot soapy water in order to easily clean the sleeve – otherwise, it is not easy to clean.

It fits all of the pots and pans we have, so I would consider this to be a universal size.

For my recent discovery of meal planning, and the burner being on for a few hours straight while cooking, this sleeve came just in time to save me from disaster!

I would definitely recommend this for anyone who regularly uses the old towel method to move pots and pans off burners or out of the stove.

If you have any cast iron skillets or pots, you know how annoying it is when the metal handle becomes burning hot to the touch. This handle cover is a simple and easy solution which you can just slip onto the handle of most of your pots and pans, keeping you safe from burns and accidents.
The grip on the handle cover is really great, and I was very impressed with it, as I was worried it might slip off.

It holds so well that I've also used it on my other pans, just because it works so well and makes it much easier to grip and hold the handle. It does an amazing job at keeping the heat contained when on cast iron handles, and I never found it warm even a little bit when the pan itself would have been incredibly hot.

As well as this product works, I did have one issue with it that I found very annoying. After washing, I left the handle cover to dry as I do with all of my dishes, but because the handle cover has so many little indented segments, it seemed to take forever to air dry. If you dry your dishes with a towel, it's also very difficult to get into all those little holes. Because of this, I found my handle cover was often still damp long after all my other dishes were dried.

That one problem aside, I really found this cover useful. It's dishwasher safe, which I wasn't expecting, so it's very easy to clean.

Pros:
- Helps keep cast iron handles safe to touch
- Dishwasher safe
- Easy to wash and use

Cons:
- Hard to dry completely
- Will not fit larger pots
