It's lip balm

This balm is 28 grams, not 1lb! 1lb of this lip moisturizer would last your lifetime!

It is applied via your fingers (or I guess you could use a lip brush too), and I would prefer it in a lipstick format just for convenience and easy of use.

Other than that, I swoop my finger in the jar, rub it on my lips, and my lips don't require a reapplication for hours (I always wear chapstick or lip balm due to dry lips). It just seems to hold the moisture in - even after I've had a drink.

So besides the presentation of the balm, it does what it's supposed to do without leaving my lips a sticky mess
