My friend gave me some to try. It is amazing. Cleaned a stain that had been there for quite a while. Threw some in the laundry and my socks looked refreshed. Our little one said that it was like a teeth whitener for the white socks.
I'll be honest I wear mostly black, so stain removal isn't a big issue. Strangely, my bedding is almost exclusively white, and that can lead to stain problems, especially since I am a woman of child-bearing age. Yes, blood can happen. Aside from meaning to get my mitts on a box of Borax to whiten my whites in general, I was recently compelled to up my stain-removing & whitening game. I did a lot of internet research (like you are probably doing now) and many people recommended OxiClean for blood removal. I also read about natural enzyme cleaners, so I also picked up some Seventh Generation Enzymatic Stain Remover. I tried the natural option first and it didn't seem to budge anything. I made a strong solution of OxiClean and water and soaked my bedding for about two days and all blood stains and yellow perspiration stains have disappeared now. I read on one site that a guy soaked his stuff for a week! I guess there is nothing to lose if your items are garbage-bound otherwise.
All in all I was very impressed with OxiClean. I really should have bought this stuff sooner. I now mix a scoop into my regular whites load to keep everything looking good! ...just like the container says to.
Uwse this for stains and as a booster for whites, Works great on towels and whites. Whites are brighter, and no grease or stains left. Great product, will continue to buy this.
OxiClean is truly an amazing product. I would through out white cloths when ever I would get a stain on them. I tried everything, but nothing ever worked. Someone told me about OxiCClean so I tried it. It took out all my stains. What a treat! Yours truly One happy Mom.
It didn't clean what i want to may be didn't use enough of the product had to wash it 2 times
thank you for giving me the opportunity to review this product. I used oxiclean several times on my whites and found my whites got whiter throughout the several uses. i have to say im pretty happy about the results i saw with the uses so i will continue to purchase this product again.
I really liked this product... but like a few other testers I was confused as to when I should be adding it in to my front loader washer. There isn't a compartment for it on my washer so I kind of just chucked a scoop in before I started. I have to wonder if this effects how well the product works....
However I did really like how well the product got the gray grime off my sons socks. I had kind of just accepted the fact that I should not buy a toddler white socks (maybe gray next time) as I could never get them back to white. I've tried using bleach before but found the smell so overwhelming and didn't like the idea of keeping it in my home where my toddler could potentially get to it. But when I used this product on his socks with a hot wash I found a significant difference in the shade of gray his socks had become. I would certainly buy this product again.
Also wanted to add that despite getting this product for free as a Chickadvisor Testor I would still use it over the other stain remover I have been currently using. I also received the other stain remover for free so price made no difference into my decision regarding buying again.
My husband is a carpenter, and he wears a white undershirt and tshirt daily. His shirts become stained quickly due to sweat, sunscreen, and caked on dirt. Several years ago we started using another bleach-free powder to clean our whites, as we noticed that soaking them in bleach was causing him to wear through them sooner. Our routine consists of saving out whites for last, running them in a load of hot water before we go to bed. I add laundry detergent,a couple scoops of our whitening powder, and allow the washing machine to agitate for a few minutes before pausing the cycle. I leave the lid closed overnight, and resume the cycle in the morning.
This routine does help to maintain the brightness of his whites, but over time they do get dingy. During the summer, the mix of sweat, sunscreen, and dirt on the neck can stain quite badly.
I was sent a tub of OxiClean Max Force White Revive courtesy of the Chick Advisor product review club. I followed the same routine, only using the OxiClean product this time. We compared the cleansed shirts to those washed with the "other" whitening powder product, and found that the OxiClean had whitened the shirts ever-so-subtly more.
I'm interested to watch the price cycle of this product - I can currently purchase the "other" product on sale for about $4 a tub, and there are often free rebate offers for it. I haven't seen many promotions for OxiClean Max Force, but would likely not purchase at full price given the only subtle difference in whitening.
Keep in mind that the overall impact of OxiClean Max Force White Revive was not subtle, it was only subtle in comparison to my other clothes that had been washed with a similar product. My brother gave me a shirt of his that he had worn during a multi day outdoor music festival to try cleaning, and the end effect was a significantly brighter shirt that was nearly stain free (you wouldn't be able to see the one stain that remained if you didn't know where it had been originally.
OxiClean Max Force White Revive Laundry Stain Remover & Booster works well smells good but i thought it would work better you have to add it with other soap though
Thank you for the opportunity to try OXI CLEAN Max Force. Where I really noticed the difference was in my husband's dress shirts. OXI CLEAN actually brightened the coloured shirts and really made the white ones seem less dingy. I will continue to buy this product and would recommend it to my friends.
