This did NOT help clear any of my blemishes. It dried out the skin around my pimples, but no the pimples themselves. Useless product, would not buy again.

Since the age of 10, I have been struggling with acne. While my friends had clear skin, mine looked like a zit volcano exploded all over it. Luckily, I’ve never had acne so bad that I was considered a “pizza face” but I had it bad enough that my skin was tender to all kinds of touch and it hurt my self-esteem. Over the years, I have tried numerous off the self products to keep my acne at bay but I haven’t found any product that I feel truly works, except expensive prescription cleansers and drugs.

So when I tried the Oxy Clinical Acne Solutions line, I was skeptical but decided to give it a try anyways. The Oxy Clinical line is the newest acne cleansing line made up of 3 different products that are suppose to be backed by clinical studies. Unfortunately the website does not have the clinical results listed which seems a little fishy to me.

The products include a 2% salicylic acid Advanced Face Wash, a 5% benzoyl peroxide Clearing Treatment, and a 0.5% salicylic acid Hydrating Therapy. The Advanced Face Wash contains a revolutionary, continuous-action formula that battles breakouts even after you rise by leaving 25 times more acne medication on the skin. It also features a patented AcneShield salicylic acid technology that unclogs pores fast and fights flare-ups but soothes the skin at the same time through the use of botanical extracts. The Clearing Treatment is stated to be prescription-strength when compared to leading prescription acne medications. It eliminates 99% of acne bacteria in 8 hours and features patented OXYSphere micro-encapsulated benzoyl peroxide which releases over time to fight breakouts between applications. Lastly, the Hydrating Therapy cream is a unique 3-in-1 formula that delivers nutrients to replenish acne-prone skin while fighting blemishes and controlling oil. It exfoliates with the help of salicylic acid, it hydrates with hyaluronic-acid, and it controls oil through patented Lipacide C8G by regulating overproduction of oil.

I can definitely say that the Advanced Face Wash and Hydrating Therapy live up to their acne fighting powers but I wouldn’t say the results are clinical worthy. I have used both of these products 1x a day for a week and my face did clear up. It feel soothed and refreshed after washing and I could definitely tell my pores felt tighter which is something I haven’t gotten from an acne product in a long time. However, when compared to prescription acne washes I’ve used in the past, I wouldn’t say the results are comparable. And even though, my sample pack included the Clearing Treatment, I have yet to give it a try due to its large percentage of benzoyl peroxide and being fearful of completely drying out my skin and causing more damage before my skin clears up. I also haven’t given the Clearing Treatment a try because my packages do not specify to use all three products or one or the other. Overall, I will continue to use the products until I am out of them but I haven’t yet decided if I will buy the Oxy Clinical product line for continued use.

The 3 products are available separately or in a 2-3 week supply package at any retail store nationwide.
