Tough But Effective
Between P90 and then P90X I lost 80 lbs and that was doing it modified due to being overweight, out of shape and with arthritis and bad knees.
If you follow the program as closely as you're able to, challenge yourself each week by increasing the weights or reps and follow the meal plans, it really does work like it says it does. My husband did this with me and lost 60lbs too.
I loved working out with P90x. It was very extreme routine. I liked how each day there was a new workout. I started seeing results very early on in the program. My results would have been more pronounced had I followed the diet plan. I did modify my diet but not as instructed in the program. It would have been nice to see the workout program feature people in less than model-like figures. I would have loved to see them transform along as well. I liked that the equipment needed was very minimal so that I didn't have to spend a lot on both cost of DVDs and equipment.
I have never worked out so hard in my life with a workout dvd, but this guy is amazing, there are all different categories depending what you want to work on be it abs, plyometrics, core strength exercises. He makes it so fun and is very encouraging to work out alongside him (even if he is just on dvd) I did this for about 3 months and I lost 30 pounds and I was still eating like a monster lol. The fact that there are so many different types of workouts available helps your body burn more calories. since your body does not get used to doing the same thing time after time. I feel like getting back into it again I only tried the first edition of P90x back in 2010. I still have it though, and I do intend on using it again. It does take a while to get used to such extreme workouts but once you do it gets a lot easier and of course, very rewarding
Overall great videos to work out at home, find eating healthy is key with any workout video
OMG I cannot say enough about this workout routine! Background: I had never been one to enjoy working out. I've had a few gym memberships over the past 6 years only to end up canceling after I found I wasn't going enough. I had been walking 3 miles per day to and from work when I lived in the city, so I was somewhat active.
Present: About a year ago I gained about 30lbs. when I started working from home. I looked in the mirror about 6 months ago and couldn't believe that person in the mirror was me! I started riding my bike and going for neighborhood walks but I couldn't lose even one pound. I decided to try P90X.
Thoughts on the workout: I didn't follow the instructions to a T. I went through the videos and found the routines I liked the best and knew I wouldn't get bored of - Plyometrics and Cardio X! I alternated between these routines for 3-4 days a week. They are HARD but they WORK! I seriously lost 15lbs in the first 1.5 months. I had never seen such fast results before. I would make sure my boyfriend wouldn't come into the room I worked out in because you have to do some crazy looking movements. Make sure you have a huge bottle of water next to you because you will sweat like you never have before! Overall, I highly recommend P90X! These workouts are AMAZING!!!
I've done A LOT of video workouts and this is THE ONE to get. It's tough, challenging but very effective. I've gone through two rounds a few years ago and I lost around 10-15 pounds and gained a lot of lean muscle mass. I've always been on the chubbier/average side and it's been hard for me to lose those 10 extra pounds after all the water loss. This program is for 90 days, focuses on "muscle confusion" where you are exercising 6 days each week with a different video each day. The gist of each day is Chest & Back (pushups and pullups), Plyometrics (cardio jumping a lot), Shoulders & Arms (weights), Yoga (90 mins), Legs & Back (using your body as weights and pullups), and Kendo (martial arts). Recently, I've created a hybrid schedule with P90X and T25 (created by Shaun T from BeachBody), but it's a nice schedule to follow, especially at the gym where you have weights, machines and especially a pull-up helping machine to use. I highly recommend this program to anyone. You will definitely feel the BURN with this program!!
Bon programme complet pour sculpter Le corps. Je l ai essayé Et j ai adoré, je Le trouvé Moines epprouvant que Insanity. Donne de bons resultats.
So, I'm a workout fanatic. I love, love, love it. After years of trying new workouts, 2 years ago I saw the P90X infomercial and I was mesmerized. Could it be? A workout program intense enough to get you ripped and toned at home? I had to have it. After 2 90-day rounds of P90X I was a believer. The workouts varied from weight training, cardio, yoga, streching, core and an ab routine so tough I almost cried. The proof was in the mirror...and on the scale. I didn't lose a ton of weight, only about 10 pounds, but my measurements spoke for themselves. Smaller waist, hips, butt....toned arms that are the envy of my co-workers (male & female!) and the compliments spurred my addiction to keep at it. So much so that this past December, when Beachbody announced the new release of P90X2, I had to order it. The package arrived soon after Xmas (talk about perfect timing) and included medicine balls, push up bars, a foam roller and a whole new set of DVDs. Just a couple of weeks in, and I'm convinced that Tony Horton is as close to God as we're ever going to get here on this big, blue planet. He will TRANSFORM your body. Don't get me wrong - you have to work. HARD. But nothing is more satisfying than seeing the results of your hard work in a hard body. Get ready, because when you "Bring It" with P90X, the rewards will be lifelong. Here's to health, happiness and the relentless pursuit of your dream body.
