My go-to cookware at home is an eight year old Paderno set that’s strikingly similar to this one, right down to the copper stripe. However, this is a superior set in that it contains a copper core in its 5-ply construction. Having seen just how durable my older set of Paderno stainless steel pots and pan have been, I was eager to give this a try. My experience with my existing set is that these hold up incredibly well under everyday use – they still look as good today as they did the day I opened the box. This new set, however, boasts superior craftmanship that is immediately evident. The profile of these lids is lower and slimmer, making them easier to store in cupboards, and the riveted handles lend them a very luxe look. I love the fact that Paderno cookware is still made in Canada, as that’s incredibly difficult to find for stainless steel pots and pans these days. The set includes all the sizes that you’ll need – small (1.6L) medium (2L), and large (3.2L) saucepans, a dutch oven (5.4L), a medium-sized (9.5 inch) frying pan, a steamer, and matching lids for all. I use these on an induction cooktop and it works seamlessly, but they’re also safe to be used on every other type of stove – electric, gas, ceramic, and halogen. I far prefer cooking with stainless steel over non-stick coated products – if you know how to use these properly, your food will absolutely not stick to them and they’re very easy to clean. In the event that you do end up with some sticking, you don’t have to think twice about scrubbing them clean since it’s just stainless steel. It’s super easy to get these looking good as new, no matter how far you think you’ve taken things. These are also well-weighted, so they’re not just slipping all over your stovetop (particularly induction stoves). That does mean they’re a little heavy for storage and movement, but it’s just a sign of good quality materials. You can also safely bake using them in the oven up to 500 degrees F. I have not been disappointed with my previous Paderno set and am even more thrilled with this one. Their cookware sets are truly worth the money and an investment in kitchenware that will last a lifetime. I followed all the instructions ti make sure I use it and wash it carefully to prolong the life of the products. A good tip is to soak the dishes in warm soapy water, vinegar and to hand wash. Beautiful Restaurant Grade Cookware

This set is restaurant grade clad cookware designed for your home kitchen. One of the best-selling points of this cookware is that it’s compatible with all stove tops including induction and is oven safe up to 500F. This product is made to last with a copper core and 2 layers of stainless steel and 2 layers of aluminum.
The cookware is really heavy, but well made and is made to last. This is cookware that will last you for life if you take care of it properly. It also comes with a lifetime warranty if you follow the instructions for care of the cookware. One drawback is that it’s not dishwasher safe, which is not a huge deal breaker as I do most of my dishwashing by hand anyways. I just have to be careful that others in the household washing dishes follow the same instructions.
One thing that is important to note when using clad cookware, a sauté pan will behave differently than your typical nonstick frying pan. If you don’t know how to use the pan properly it’s definitely going to stick on you. It’s important that you heat the pan up to medium before adding the oil to it, and don’t heat the oil up too quickly. Once heated, the pan will retain and distribute the heat evenly.
When testing the set out for the first time, I made a Chicken Biryani. I found the heat more evenly distributed in the pan, and the chicken cooked a lot more quickly. When making the rice, the pan heated up a lot quicker than my non clad cookware.
Just for reference, I tested on a gas stovetop.
Overall, it’s a beautiful set with endless cooking possibilities. If you know how to take care of your cookware it will take care of you.

High quality cookware to rely on

For a family who cooks all their meals at home, having high quality cookware to rely on is the key to a successful and delicious meal.

There are so many interesting things about these pots and pans that I don’t even know where to star!

So, here’s some technical info:

The saucepans and pan are a little bit heavier than other brands I have used in the past, for obvious reasons (5-ply more reasons). Once you start cooking with them, you can feel how sturdy and well-built they are, and that’s when you finally understand why they have the “Lifetime warranty” stamp in the box.

All my pots and pan heat up very quickly and evenly. When I was stir-frying, I was able to hear and see the sizzling around the pan distributing evenly on my electric stove; and that uniformity of the heat happened with all the pieces of this set. This is definitely one of those sets that are perfect for a cook warrior with clad cookware experience, who likes to have everything under control while cooking. Keep in mind that cooking with clad pans instead of Teflon or other non-stick pans is very different, so you may have to adapt to them.

My Perfect Pots

I have been using Paderno pots my whole life but the five play copper core stainless steel set is a serious upgrade! They are as beautiful to look at as they are to work with.

I tested these out using the recipes I know and love every day so I was able to give a good and honest opinion.

I found these pots held heat and heated more evenly than my simple stainless steel pots. The variety of shapes and sizes provided me with ample selection and my food cooked wonderfully without sticking or burning.

I always wondered if my old pots were oven safe but these I know for sure are and it's great being able to finish my dishes in the oven.

My only and tiny complaint is just me being lazy. I wish I could throw them in the dishwasher but understandably you can't. I wouldn't want to risk ruining the gorgeous finish anyway.

I look forward to cooking with these pots for the rest of my life and expect, like my mother's Paderno pots, they will last for generations.

Great investment

This set is great for all the sizes needed for everyday cooking needs. They are heavy duty but that’s expected. The copper core helps distribute the heat evenly and quickly. They boil water quicker. A temp change is virtually instantaneous which I love. I haven’t had any issues with anything sticking. The trick of heating pans using medium heat first is an important technique. The metal handles do not retain heat as some other brands do. The clean up is even easier. Let the cookware completely cool off. Soak a little when needed. Then wash with warm water, everything slides right out.

Looking forward to many meals cooked in these high quality pots and pans! Though the price may be on the higher side, I can tell that this set will be handed to down to the next generation. Great investment!

I’ve been using stainless steel cookware for a few years already, and I’m really impressed with this Paderno 5 ply copper core set! It feels very sturdy and durable! I love that it comes with a steamer (which is really rare in other comparable stainless steel coolware sets)
