Well made & sturdy
This tool is extremely well made, with a sturdy, robust construction that allows for easy maneuvering when carving meats. The fork's tines are sharp and strong, making it easy to cut through even the toughest of meats. The handle is comfortable to grip and provides a good level of control when carving. Cleaning it is also very easy and it comes with a protective sheath for storage. Overall, this is a carving fork.
Paderno Montgomery Forged Carving Fork
I signed up for Butterly.com to review products and this Carving Fork is my first review. The fork is 4 in., is forged from ONE PIECE of steel and features a curve. It’s a nice weight and holds meat easily and is comfortable to hold. Easy to clean without any gaps that small particles can fall into with two sharp and attractive prongs. I never realized what a difference a quality carving fork would make when cutting meat or for other cooking tasks. I have heard the name Paderno yet this is the first product I have tried from this brand. I will definitely consider this brand to outfit my kitchen tools in the future. I am truly impressed with the design of ONE PIECE of metal and how that changes the utensil’s ease when using it.
The only thing that I didn’t like was the product packaging. It has nothing to do with the product, which is a quality item and well made, however, if I was in a retail location I would see it as a less expensive and lower quality item. It looks like it could be hung in-store on a rack. If I was in a store I would pass-by and not consider the fork. I feel like if it was in a nicer package with a test fork left to hold and feel, it would change my perception of the items quality.
I know that may sound silly as a consideration for kitchen utensils but I know I wouldn’t consider it as a replacement because of that. I don’t purchase things because of their packaging yet this is not anything that would stand out and draw my attention with other items in-store.
