Surprisingly good!

My partner works with audio for a living, so I asked him to help me test the audio for this microphone.

Considering the price for this lapel microphone he said this seems like a shockingly good deal. This is your basic lapel microphone with no bells or whistles, but to be honest it does a good job at recording clear audio which is all you really need. The microphone has a small clip which you can attach to your jacket or clothes, and as long as the microphone is pointed in your general direction it will pick up your voice very clearly.

The clip itself is small but strong, and never fell or came loose while I was moving around and testing it out. The sleeve that comes with the microphone does a good job cutting down on background noise from wind and traffic and the 79 inch extension cable is more than enough to allow you to record audio in just about any situation. There's also a travel case to make it easy to take with you (or to throw into your bag without it getting tangled).

My partner and I found that the audio we recorded with this microphone was crisp and clear, and the only thing which sometimes caused problems was when we were recording in as large room, as that gave the audio a slight echo. There's nothing we could expect the microphone to do about that though, especially at this price point.

If you're looking for a basic microphone for school projects, podcasting or recording Youtube videos, this microphone should look professional and sound good. It has an audio jack, so it’s really easy to plug it into your phone for improved sound while video recording!
