Exfoliating, yet hydrating toner!

This was my first time trying the PanOxyl Clarifying Exfoliant (~2 weeks), but I will be finishing the bottle and might even purchase another. With 2% salicylic acid it does the job of exfoliating your skin and promoting cell turnover. It is great for reducing the appearance of acne scars and bumps. FYI: BHAs like salicylic acid are my FAVOURITE!! Unlike AHAs they are skinny little bitches that, in addition to working on the skin surface, they also get deep into your pores to exert their effect. You can imagine how much more effective that is at promoting skin cell turnover than to simply work on the skins surface.

On the flip side, having such a high acid content I find that it can be stripping for already dry skin. Personally, I have normal to dry skin so I did not notice any additional dryness contributed by this product. I think might be because this particular product is formulated using various hydrating and soothing ingredients such as: Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Glycerin, Hydroxyacetophenone (an antioxidant that inhibits inflammatory pathways), Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol and Spirulina Platensis (Blue Algae) Extract, and Sodium Citrate Dihydrate for maintaining skin pH. Please note that I have left some preservative and antimicrobial ingredients out but they are important for the longevity of your skincare products!

Alcohol free clarifying exfoliant

PanOxyl clarifying exfoliant is alcohol free, non-stinging formula which is good for sensitive skin. And i can tell it has real salicylic acid just by the feel and a hint of smell of it on my skin, but it is no way overpowering or off-putting. It doesn't leave the skin feeling dry despite the fact that it is oil free. Good product.

Great!

I love how this is such a nice lightweight product. I just put some on a facial pad and wiped it all over and it left my skin feeling so fresh and clean. It’s very gentle on your skin and actually penetrates pores to control and reduce acne.

What an amazing product

Love love this panoxyl clarifying exfolialiant. Makes my skin feel so hydrated and plumpy. Never felt so confident with the use of exfolialiator. Panoxy has got some great products for acne prone skin.

I love this toner

Putting this exfoliant/toner on my face felt really good. It leaves my skin fresh and hydrated. It also reminds me of medical scents, but it’s not a strong scents. It’s like a cooling sensation when putting it. I used a pad to apply it. It’s very gentle on the skin. It’s made to prevent acne and also clearing it. It’s a nice toner to have.

Works well

For a drug store product, it is easy to use and does the job. It is a gentle exfoliant; however, should still be used wisely as overuse may cause irritation.
