I used the entire set regularly, morning and evening. In general, I do not like products that do not give my skin a matte appearance, leave it moist and leave a sticky feeling on my face. Unfortunately, this feature I mentioned was only available in this series. I can say that it didn't leave much of an impact on me. The smell is not disturbing, the day cream has SPF protection and this is a good thing.

Goes on thick

I have to say that this was not my favourite moisturizer. It goes on thick and left my skin feeling somewhat greasy. The fact that is has an SPF in the formula is wonderful but it seems like the moisturizer applies much like sunscreen itself.

Was Not My Favourite

The PANOXYL Oil Control Moisturizer fell short for me due to its consistency and formula. It felt heavy and greasy on my skin, and didn't effectively control oil as promised. Disappointing.

Great product- in moderation.

The first few days that I used this, I was in love. I thought I had finally found a lightweight sunscreen that absorbed oil in my face. It didn’t leave a cast, my face was nice and matte and smooth, it didn’t get in my eyes and it didn’t have that weird sunscreen taste after wearing it all day. About a week of using it however, I noticed that my skin was starting to get really dry and irritated. My face burned really bad whenever I applied this after about a week of use. Overall, I think it’s a really good product but I won’t make it a staple in my routine, maybe just use it on days where I need some extra support with oil control.

Unfortunately didn’t control my oil

Unfortunately, this product did not work to control my oily skin. I have extremely oily skin and while this product made my skin matte at first, it wore off within a few hours.

Slight White Cast

I like that this moisturizer doubles up as as a SPF but it took some time for me to rub it in. It does leave a slight white cast on my melanin skin which you really have to work it in. It also leaves a shine your skin.

Clogged my skin

I received the Panoxyl Oil Control Moisturizer AM a couple of weeks ago and my daughter used it a few times.

This is her review: My skin felt very clogged up all day and it felt like there were remnants of the oil on my skin even the next morning. I didn’t like the oiliness of it and stopped using it after a few attempts.

I don’t recommend this product because of the heavy oily feeling on my skin but can’t say if others will have the same reaction.

It works

The AM cream is good at managing oily skin and reducing acne, but comes at a cost. Product has a weird smell and felt very heavy on the skin. I didn’t like the texture but it definitely was effective as an acne-fighting product. If you have really bad breakouts this would be absolutely worth using.

With SPF 30

What I like about this PanOxyl Oil Control Moisturizer is that it contains SPF 30. It's enough for daily use but I'd prefer SPF 50 or 60 if I'm planning to stay outdoors. This daytime moisturizer absorbs excess oil and gives a matte finish. The white cast will melt into my skin a few minutes after application. However, this cream is not good to use with other makeup products. It's doesn't layer well. I recommend it for independent use.

Oil Control Moisturizer

I received a 4-piece PanOxyl Acne Care Regimen set for free in exchange for posting a honest review. I’ve been using this AM Oil Control Moisturizer in combination with PanOxyl’s 4% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Wash, Clarifying Exfoliant and PM Balancing Renewal Moisturizer for a little over a week. I started introducing each product, one by one, with a skin test and thankful, found all of them worked well with my skin and didn’t cause a reaction.

I used this moisturizer in the morning after cleansing and applying the exfoliant. I like that it is a Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen and that its sheer formula dried without a greasy look or feel. However, along side the acne wash and clarifying exfoliant, it didn’t offer enough hydration to be a moisturizer that I’d use going forward. I also found it a bit thick and had a grainy feeling while applying it.
