This is the DRIEST moisturizer ever

I really wanted to like this moisturizer since it helps with oil control and has SPF, but it was SO DRY. I felt like I was applying chalk to my skin. Since it's a mineral sunscreen, it gave me white cast too. I did think it help with oil control throughout the day, but it was so extremely drying that I still ended up applying my regular sunscreen ontop, and had to apply more moisturizer too. It highlighted all of my pores when I wore foundation.

PANOXYL Oil Control Moisturizer is lightweight and absorbs quickly, making it perfect for daily use but unfortunately, it didn't quite work for my brown skin tone. While it effectively controls oil, I found that it leaves a somewhat of a white cast, which isn't ideal for my complexion.

Gritty, strange smell

Unfortunately this is a miss for me. I found the smell to be overpowering, and the texture felt gritty on my skin. It also left a white cast (assuming because of the SPF) that took forever to rub in. It did moisturize my skin but it's not something I will reach for regularly.

Feels very gritty and left a whitecast

This is a mineral sunscreen which feels very heavy and gritty on my skin. It does not feel smooth and I could feel particles/pilling while rubbing. The whitecast was not too bad but I did not enjoy the formulation of the cream.

Grainy texture

I used this moisturizer in the mornings and found it to be unsuitable for my daily routine. The product texture was grainy and I could feel it on my skin all day but also found that it pills especially with other products. It does keep my skin moisturized but also leaves a bit of a white cast that you really have to rub in. It did help with oil control though as well.

Better products for oil control and SPF out there

PanOxyl has been coming out with really nice products, but I would not say that this is a cult favorite. The application and texture was a little off, and I did not like how it does not really absorb into your skin. It did control my oily skin, but the white cast (I’m fairly tanned) of the SPF was not a nice look. I would look elsewhere for sunscreen and other techniques to control your oils.

Did not like this

I have combination skin with active acne right now and used this every morning for about a week. I like that it has SPF which helps with preventing any acne and scars from darkening. The product is really thick, has a heavy fragrance that does go away eventually, but for some reason I find the moisturizer gritty. I tried shaking the tube lots, tried to soften it between the fingers before applying on the face, but there's still an odd grit. It's a little uncomfortable upon application and makes my skin feel a bit textured. It leaves a very slight white cast to the skin which isn't terrible and is to be expected with a mineral sunscreen. I will say that it does dry down well (need to use a lot to cover the face as I found it doesn't spread well) and does keep my excess oils at bay. The grittiness is what bothers me the most, and can look odd under make up, and is the reason why I do not recommend using this moisturizer.

Not Great

I enjoy the smell of this product. It's an spf 30 mineral sunscreen. There is a weird, gritty feeling that makes it hard to apply. Once it’s applied, it feels like it's just sitting on my face rather than absorbing. This could be due to the sunscreen aspect. I was hoping for more, from this morning moisturizer.

Nice but wasn't for me

I had high hopes for this product as I love the cleansing wash, however it had a weird grainy texture when applying. It felt more like an exfoliator than a moisturizer. Not for me.

Product is difficult to apply evenly

I tried this product once and wasn’t impressed with the application. I’m not sure if it’s due to the SPF in the product although I found it extremely difficult to apply evenly to my face, I feel like you have to use an unnecessary amount of product in order to get an even application
