Okay, but not great

Thank you Butterly and PanOxyl for letting me try this oil control moisturizer. I will say straightforward that while this seems to make a decent sunscreen with SPF 30 and UVA/UVB protection, this isn’t necessarily a product that I would use for my moisturizer everyday. While it says it’s a “lightweight, daily moisturizer”, its usage says it helps prevent sunburn and then the directions guide you to using it as a sunscreen, so it’s a little confusing and all over the place with the packaging and instructions. When using it, I definitely noticed an unpleasant sunscreen smell immediately and it does not go away quickly. It is also a little thick, like sunscreen, and takes a little bit to really absorb into the skin. Overall, I would say this is fine for a sunscreen and possibly good for someone who needs or wants a little extra oil control without clogging pores, but as a general moisturizer, this would unfortunately not be my pick.

Hard to judge without oily skin

I tested this moisturizer as someone who does not have excessively oily skin. Because of this I cannot speak to the efficacy of the product for controlling oil. The product did not dry me out. I like that the moisturizer contains spf!

Strong smell

This moisturiser has a broad spectrum SPF 30 mineral sunscreen with UVA and UVB protection. The moisturiser is very lightweight and you don’t need a lot. It also contains hyaluronic acid. This product does however have a very strong sterile/medical scent that can be off putting for some.
I wouldn’t recommend this product as it caused me to have an additional breakout.

Too drying

I really wish I could rate this product higher as I have enjoyed other PanOxyl products, however this moisturizer left my skin dying for moisture. I appreciate the UV protection that it provides but unfortunately my mature, combination skin could not handle the oil control.

Écran solaire minéral pour le visage passable

Il s'agit d'un produit solaire minéral avec un fps de 30, une protection minimale pour un produit du genre. J'ai trouvé que la formule est graisseuse et n'a pas l'effet anti-luisance annoncé. Au départ, j'ai aimé l'odeur légère du produit, mais par la suite, pendant les 20 à 30 minutes suivant l'application, mon visage a pris une odeur désagréable. À long terme, j'aurais peur que cette crème épaisse ne me donne des boutons. La crème est difficile à faire pénétrer dans la peau, il faut frotter de manière démesurée.

Good

I love that the AM moisturizer has SPF. Although I prefer to still put a layer of my own SPF on top because my skin is sensitive to the sun. This moisturizer was okay but nothing amazing. I need to continue trying it to see the full results. The price point is very good for this product

Nice

The product is very nice. I used it for almost one week. It works really nice. It helped to control my oil throughout the day, however for me it kind of left some white cast on my skin probably because it’s a sunscreen as well. But it’s a nice product overall

Effective but grainy

I received this product, along with the rest of the line, to try and review. I used the line for a week and overall I found the am moisturizer with sunscreen was effective, in that I didn't receive any burns while out and maintained a moisturized glow. However, I really struggled as this product is grainy to put on, similar to the effects of an exfoliant, and I would have to hype myself up to use it.

Gentle but smells and leaves whitecast

I like this includes SPF 30+, but to be honest I found the smell and the texture a bit off-putting. The cream was soft, but the SPF caused it to feel a bit greasy and grainy. It took a bit to work it into the skin as there was a white cast. The smell dissipated after a couple of hours. Nevertheless, this cream was lightweight once applied and it kept my skin balanced and protected from irritation.

It’s okay

I didn’t enjoy this moisturizer. It felt like I was applying sunscreen. It had a gritty texture when I first applied. It was a little bit sticky on my face until it dried down. The cream was rich and thick, but it was a bit too heavy for me. There is a light scent that does linger for a while and takes a while to get use to it. I do enjoy that this moisturizer has SPF 30 though.
