Double duty

The oil control moisturizer by PanOxyl goes a step beyond and also contains broad spectrum spf 30 mineral sunscreen. By having one product pull double duty it allows me to use less products and focus on one that gives me the skin benefits I need while providing sun protection. There is a light scent that isn't entirely great but by no means horrible. The texture is silky and it went on easily when applied. It seems to soak in fairly quickly and didn't leave my skin feeling greasey. Overall the combined benefits of mineral sunscreen on a product specifically designed to keep my skin looking and feeling blemish free was a winner and welcome addition to my routine.

Not bad

The cream is quite good. It moisturizes well and at the same time mattifies the skin, protects from the sun as it contains SPF filters. But it contains small particles that completely disappear when applied, but at the same time scratch and irritate the skin.

Perfect Daily Moisturizer for Acne Prone Skin

This daily morning moisturizer is awesome!! It is light weight and leaves my skin so glowy! Not to mention it has SPF 30 which is so amazing because having SPF in your skincare routine is so crucial but can sometimes be skipped or forgotten! Having it in the moisturizer is a life saver!

Totally Worth it

I tried the PANOXYL OIL CONTROL MOISTURIZER for the first time and it's really amazing! I would totally recommend it, I give it a 10 out of 10. My forehead and nose get really oily, but after using it, you can see a big difference right away. You should definitely give it a try, it's worth it!

A bit on the dry side, but very effective

I'm always on the lookout for oil control moisturizers. I have combination skin, but I have large oily areas that are very hard to deal with, however, this product actually worked well to keep my face from producing too much oil for a longer period of time, but I would suggest to maybe change the cream texture, since I found it a bit dry or pasty, though that only seems to happen when first applied and I suspect it has something to do with the mineral sunscreen it contains (it leaves the typical white film as well, but it eventually dissolves). I would love it if this cream was lighter and more moisturizing, like a gel maybe. Still, the current product is quite effective and that alone would prompt me to recommend it, it really calms down the inflammation and pain/burning that comes with acne, while keeping my face matte and fresh for a long period of time. Mineral sunscreen that does not leave a white cast

So, this was a tough one for me to review, and honestly I am still torn between whether I love this mineral sunscreen/moisturizer or not. So instead of doing my typical review style, I will break my thoughts down into pros and cons.

Pros: Very few, and I mean very few, American formulated mineral sunscreens don’t leave a white cast on my brown/tan coloured skin… this is one of them! I love the liquid consistency of this sunscreen, as well as its application. It takes a couple seconds to rub in but leaves my skin with a dewy glow which I love. I also like that this product doubles as a moisturizer and sunscreen, so it is great for people looking for a minimalistic morning skin care routine.

Cons: I am not one of those people who like a minimalistic skin care routine. Not that there is anything wrong with only using 1-2 products, it might actually be better to not have a 10-step skincare routine if you suffer from acne but personally that’s just not for me. Skincare is my therapy, so I enjoy spending time to do it. That being said, my con for this produt is that it cannot be layered with the rest of my skin care routine! When I tried to apply it over my serums and light moisturizer, it pilled and ruined my routine. I had to wash my face and start over…. At the same time, to play devil’s advocate, I did not use the moisturizer the way it was intended to be used. When used on its own or with the other PanOxyl products reviewed here, it applied beautifully!!

Struck Gold

Because I struggle with excessive sebum secretion in certain parts of my face skin for years, I am happy I found this product that moisturizes and keeps my oil production in check throughout the day felt like struck gold. The lightweight formulation ensures that the product absorbs quickly without leaving any oily residue, making my skin feel hydrated yet matte. It's also been a great base for my makeup, helping it stay put without sliding off my oily areas. Plus, knowing it contains ingredients that are beneficial for my skin type makes me feel confident about using it daily.

An amazing Moisturizer.

I absolutely love this day time Moisturizer. It is light and almost has a gritty feeling that is easily absorbed. "PanOxyl Oil Control Moisturizer is a game-changer! It effectively combat excess oil and leaves my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated all day long. Plus, its non-greasy finish is perfect for daily use, and allows for easy makeup application.
