It's not their fault
I am not a fan of 2 in one shampoo and conditioner to begin with but when my husband purchased this by accident I had to give it a try. Within a week, my hair felt greasy and unwashed, even tho I wash my hair daily. It was not suitable for anyone in our household.
I have used Pantene 2n1 shampoos for a long time. However the last three bottles I bough left my hair very hard to brush. It was almost like they forgot to put conditioner in. I am so disappointed in this.
As a women with very long hair, it is hard to find an effective shampoo at a reasonable price, and this shampoo didn't worked at all for me. My hair were greasy and heavy within 2 hours. It's a no for me, sorry..
This shampoo gave my hair a great deal of build up. It was very heavy and dull. It was not so bad with the first use but after using it did not take long for it to cause build up on my hair.
Pantene, specifically their 2-in-1, makes my hair disgusting. It feels like I never even washed it and it doesn't matter how many times I repeat, no change. The smell is nice but I would never try it again. I do love their other products such as their hair masks and conditioners, just not this one.
First off, I have found that shampoo and conditioner are less effective together than separate.
Secondly, before you purchase a product, don't make my mistake: read the list of ingredients. At least skim through it before you apply it to your hair.
Pros:
- Name brand
- Average price
- Good intention: I believe that some percent of the profit is donated to charity, for breast cancer research or to supply wigs.
Cons:
- Main ingredients are sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate. The other ingredients aren't good, either. If you wish to learn the dangers of SLS, just google it. It is "categorized as expected to be toxic or harmful" to organ systems by the Environment Canada Domestic Substance List, and has "strong evidence" to be a human irritant (skin, eyes, or lungs).
Name brands aren't always desirable. I recently discovered a SLS, phosphate and paraben free shampoo called Just Bee Natural. It may be difficult to find, but it is definitely worth it.
I really disliked this shampoo. Left my hair with a waxy buildup, making it look dull. Not impressed.
