Expensive for the size
I received the 3 pack of the minis of this and was shocked at how tiny these are. The product does feel really nice on the lips and the coloured ones are more pigmented than I would have expected for lipbalms. They are ok on sale but definitely not worth full price! The packaging is a glitterbomb, no matter how careful you are there will be sequins everywhere!
Sale price make it worth
This is the mini size trio comes in three colors. Clear balm ( no color), Flesh3 and Blowup. Bought with sale price for $18 and loving the colored ones. What i love about the trio not only the colors but how smooth and hydrating the balms are.
feels super comfortable on the lips
This balm would be perfect to use prior to applying her matte lipsticks to keep your lips feeling hydrated and comfortable. In terms of value, these balms are pretty pricy, depending how frequently you reapply lip balms. I live in a super dry climate, so I go through balms pretty quick, making PMG's balm a bit spendy. I would definitely use this as a primer before applying her mattress lipsticks, but on the non-lipsticks days, I'd probably just stick to a drugstore balm.
Very mediocre lip balm
I got this lip balm as part of a Sephora's Favourites kit. I was so excited when I got this, because I have heard so many amazing things about Pat McGrath, but haven't been able to afford anything at regular price. To my dismay, this lip balm was very mediocre. The formula is only mildly hydrating and does not apply on very well. It performs like a very cheap lip balm, which is so disappointing given the hype of the brand and the price tag that comes with this lip balm.
I actually bought a few of these Sephora Favourites kits and will continue to use them, but I definitely won't be purchasing this lip balm again.
It's just ok
PAT McGRATH LABS Lip Fetish Lip Balm was part of a Sephora Favorites set I purchased. It was one of the main reasons I purchased the set. I had high expectations based on the rave reviews for Pat McGrath products.
It didn't live up to the expectations. It's a decent lipbalm, but it's nothing truly special. It's good, it coats well in one pass, it keeps my lips from cracking, but so does Chapstick at a way lower price. The packaging is spectacular. But I won't rebuy it just for that. It's just ok.
Overpriced
I received this in my Sephora Favorites kit, and was ecstatic to try it out, considering the price ($50). I love lip balms, however this is not one I would pick up on its own in store. Personally, I found it to be super overpriced for its quality. To be fair, it worked great, and left my lips looking shiny and fresh throughout the day, the scent was also really nice, and packaging stands out extremely. However, it is not by any means worth its price. I can pick up something of just as good quality for 1/4 or 1/3 the price. Of course it would not have the name, nor the packaging, but sometimes it is just not worth that. For this reason, I wouldn’t repurchase outside of a value set, nor would I recommend.
Great but Pricey
I really want to give this 3.5 stars because although it is a nice balm, it is soooo pricey. It is moisturizing & smells great but you are paying for the lux packaging more than anything. If you’re a collector, you will want it but if your not, there are other balms out there for less $$. Tip - if you want it, I would buy the Sephora Favorites balm lip kit, it’s in there for less than full price & you get other goodies to try too!!
