PC coffee no name POD design has changed

Our house has the same problem mentioned by others. The POD is not punching in the same manner as per last many purchases. Seems like the top seal cover has changed - it feels more plasticy. We are LOSING alot of pods in the coffee making = loss of $$ spent.
We now have to look into using another brand.
WHAT went WRONG...Mr. Manufacturer??
