Chemical taste for a decent price

I absolutely LOVE London Fog lattes (or Earl Grey lattes) so you can imagine my excitement when I found a box of 8 k-cups for $6.50 that I could make at home. I probably should have known better before buying it when the first three ingredients are sugar, coconut oil and corn syrup solids.

It brewed well and already had a colour to the tea that looked like I had put some milk in it. The taste however, was like a chemical sugar taste. A cross between metal and sugar. I couldn't drink it and when it cooled, it separated and left a layer of oil or sugar of some sort on the top.

I threw the entire box of k-cups out. I usually love President's Choice teas but this one is an absolute flop.
