Instead of a "smoother" it should be called a "grater", as in cheese grater stainless steel metal.
This small ball literally grinds up hard heel skin, its amazing that such a small object can do such a big job!

Its in the shape of a ball, and you open it up and inside there is the metal grinder and the other side is an emery pad. When you use the metal side, it traps the dead skin inside the ball, so there isn't dead skin flying all over the place. When done you just empty the ball out for easy cleaning, plus it comes with 2 emery pads.
Its perfect to use after a shower or a bath, I need to use it more often so it isn't such a chore when I do.

I loved it so much, I went back and bought one for all the women on my Christmas list!
