Great product
Great product but a bit too pricey. I try not to use it every night so as to let it last. I recommend that you test it first on your arm before you use it on your face. I got red the first time so I use it every other day to build up to it. I love this serum and I saw a lot of improvements with it but the price got me thinking.
Nice Serum
I would use this product at night as recommended after cleansing my face. If you’re new to retinol, you might want to use this every other night at first to avoid irritation. It applies very nicely. It’s a very thin liquid that initially feels oily to the touch, but dries down nice and smooth after application. I think this because of the squalane. It was great for me because I have very oily skin. I would apply a moisturizer a few minutes after letting this set in. This product never broke me out or gave me any type of irritation. It never made me look greasy, and it was always lovely to apply!
Great non irritating Retinol
I love Peter Thomas Roths products and this one didn't disappoint. I have sensitive skin, and retinol products can be irritating and make my skin dry. However this product doesn't. It has encapsulated retinol so that it slowly disperses throughout the night along with vitamin c and other skin loving ingredients. I think retinol should be a staple in any skin care routine especially for anti aging. It's gentle enough to use every night and I've seen results quickly, fine lines disappearing, better tone and no more breakouts. It's a great product and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a retinol product.
Great anti-aging serum!
This is an amazing anti-aging night serum! It’s one of the best I’ve ever used. I used this for about a year before moving onto to Tretinoin which is stronger. This serum contains retinol which is a derivative of Vitamin A and is used to help treat acne and to promote collagen and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains vitamins C and E!

In terms of how it helped my fine lines, I think this helped prevent them from becoming any worse, and helped them fade ever so slightly. My main concerns are the line in between my eyebrows from frowning and minor crows feet from smiling. I really do think these areas looked better after finishing a bottle of this serum. I would highly recommended this to anyone interested in trying retinol! :)
Remember to wear sunscreen in the day because retinol can make your skin more susceptible to burning!
This is expensive product. But you can save money on other skincare products, not on this serum. It is dry oil, absorbs very quickly. I use it every night and my skin looks more healthy. Also i noticed it reduced pores.
This amazing product is from Peter Thomas Roth. It's the Retinol Fusion PM and it does an awesome job of helping maintain your skin from the free radicals in the air and the look of fine lines. I use it before bed, when I feel my skin needs an extra boost. It has retinol, so it shouldn't be used during the day. I use it alone, without adding an extra moisturizer on top. It penetrates into the skin quickly and I saw a big difference in the appearance of my skin within a couple of weeks.
I have normal combination skin with a slightly oily T-zone (dry eyes, cheeks and lips). My eyes, hands and feet are what age me the most.
PTR Retinol fusion PM was my favorite all-in-one product last year. It's thin enough to use year round, but effective enough to use solo in the winter. and you can use on the eye area. I'm considering buying more. It's a fast-absorbing, liquid serum. Keep it out of direct light and use sunscreen of SPF 30 . Retinol is sun-sensitive and it makes you more sun-sensitive.
To apply, I'd drop a little on the backs of hands and knuckle-massage my face. That way, the excess would keep my hands just as pretty as my face. I figured that out after I spilled some on 1 foot and woke with 2 totally different feet. The skin on the pretty foot behaved well for days.
As for the results, it smoothed acne in 3 nights, smoothed fine lines in 2 weeks and allowed me to wear less everything - but not clothes. Don't get carried away like I did.
I can’t review this product without telling you a little bit about what retinol is, since that’s basically all it is (PTR’s serum is made of 1.5% retinol and Vitamins C and E).
Retinol is the pure form of Vitamin A, which, in our world, is a jack-of-all-trades. It helps with wrinkles, tightens skin and pores, improves texture and helps with acne. If you want the mechanics of that, retinol basically stimulates collagen production in our skin, and that my loves, is mother nature’s botox.
People with sensitive skin should use retinol containing products with caution. I recommend a test patch and gradual use because it can cause redness and dryness. I took my own advice and used it at bedtime once a week to start and now I'm up to every other day.
I can't honestly say it's helped when Mr. Pimple (Mister, because he's that big) shows up, but investing in a retinol product is a proactive move. If you have the money to spare, it's an inside-out product worth the money - i.e. it regenerates skin from beneath the surface. Yes, I dug deep (ignore the pun) to rationalize this purchase, but beauty brains everywhere agree that stimluating collagen production is vital to maintaining tone, texture and youthfulness.
