Love all Avent products everything is well designed and easy to clean. Love the fact that most of their soothers come with caps. cute designs. Although I wish they had more of a selection for boys.
Great price, durable, high quality and safe materials for baby to use, easy to clean and sterilize, helps baby and mom. Plus, the hospital gives them out, so they must be good for baby's oral development.
Our little dude loves his 'Nummy'! It was a life saver when he was younger because it didn't interfere with Breastfeeding. When he was older, he was able to find the Nummy in the crib because of the distinct shape.
If this pacifier goes missing, there is big problems in our house. I have one in the stroller, one in the play area, and one in the bedroom. Plus the others in backup just in case. My son never took a pacifier so I never knew anything about pacifiers when my daughter was born and all she wanted to do was suck. A nurse provided one at the hospital and that was it! We cannot do with out this pacifier!
My 3rd grandson uses this type of pacifier. To me it looked too big for his tiny mouth. He didn't have a problem latching onto it. He loves them.
My first child loved this so much. I tried others but we gave up when he kept spitting them out and wailing. My second loves it as well. Will not bother trying any other. Buy one for yourself and any other Mamma you know.
When "traditional" pacifiers were rejected by my infant, we discovered these and thank goodness we did!
Their shape and texture is much more reminiscent of natural nipples and he took to it immediately.
At 5 months, he's still incapable of keeping a soother in his mouth by himself for very long (probably because we don't use one all that often and he's not practiced), but it makes a fussy baby happy long enough to fall asleep (and lets me take my own nipple back into my possession!)
These tend to have packaging recommending them for 4 months or younger, but I don't see why that should be the case and know of a few older babies and even toddlers who still prefer this soother.
The little tab for holding onto the soother is my only issue - it's too small! Daddy's fingers are too big to grasp this easily, and baby hands don't have the grasping technique to always hang onto it.
Also - not sure why, but of the two lots of these we purchase, some of the disk parts are thicker on some than on others but I can only find one description for them so perhaps it was just a variation in the manufacturing at some point.
