    Gets the job done

Works fine as far as manual pumps go. Don't love it, don't hate it. I would recommend this one to new moms who just need to pump occassionally, if you plan on exclusive pumping definitely go for an electric pump. Manual pumping is too much work.

    Great hand pump

This is a great hand pump for occasional use. I personally wouldn’t want to use it if I was exclusively pumping. It’s a little squeaky but it gets the job done. The downside is having several parts to clean and sterilize. And needing two hands to pump and pumping one side at a time makes it a bit more time consuming.

    Hard to use

I find that manual pumps are basically useless. It takes forever to pump some milk, hands become very sore, and it squeaks a lot. It only may be useful to keep it in the purse, if you have great milk supply and need to pump some milk on the go.

    Works better than electric pump

I have this breast pump and another Medala electric pump. Though I have been lazy using this manual pump, I must say it helps me pump breast milk more effectively whenever my breasts feel full. It's a bit more complicated to assemble compared to my electric pump, though.

I really struggled pumping with both my sons, but this did the trick! It was easy to use and to sterilize. I never was able to pump out lots of milk, but this helped me get a few ounces when i pumped and it added up to a bottle! I would recommend!

I had a really hard time pumping while breastfeeding. I had one of the Mandela double electric pumps and got nadda. I decided to go on a leap of faith and purchase this pump and I'm so glad I did! I still wasn't able to pump much, but that was on me. I pumped more with this pump than any other and it was honestly my saving grace. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you're having a difficult time.

Many will tell you to never buy a manual pump, but honestly, I've had NO problems with this. It has served well, and works well too. It's portable as well, so it's convenient.

I didn't like this and ended up giving it away and getting an electric pump. It took forever to pump my milk and i just didn't have the time for it.

I suppose some new mommys need this . Usually by the time mommy and baby go home from hospital the milk flow is adequate for baby. Therefore a pump is really not needed. Also, a mommy can express milk herself to store in bottles for when needed. Not a necessary item at all.....
