Love it

This was a present. I was looking into IPL devices and chose the Philips one as I heard good things about it. The process is easy. U get an automatic detector for choosing what level u can use and u press the button. It stings a bit but that's it. It came with 2 extra things for different areas. The only thing where I had problems was is my upper leg bit where it is very bony. U need to put the device in an weird angle. I can see a lot of differences.

Takes ages to see results

You can't overuse the product or do your whole body at one go otherwise the laser shield starts to make bubble. You need to be extra cautious when you use it. I saw a change after my fourth treatment. The App is really useful

Pricey but worth it.

I was privileged to receive this product as part of the Philips product tester panel and I absolutely love it. Easy to use, it allows you to set it to the intensity that is best for your skin and hair colour (it works best when there is a noticeable contrast between the two. I have very fair skin with light brown body hair. If you have blonde body hair and fair skin, or dark hair and dark skin, it may not work so well.

Holding it against the skin, when it's correctly positioned the light bar at the rear of the device lights up white and you can press the trigger to release a pulse of laser light which targets hair follicles and over a period of use causes them to fall out with minimal regrowth.

As directed, I used it every two weeks over a six week period initially and noticed less body hair, and what was remaining was finer and less noticeable. I continue to use it fortnightly to remove any existing hair and to prevent further regrowth and I am delighted with the results.

I know some people are worried it may be painful to use but I just get a warming sensation on my skin which is actually quite pleasant and relaxing. There is a bright flash as each pulse is delivered to the skin but it is safe on the eyes so no need for safety glasses or goggles. It's not cheap so it's a considered purchase but if you add up the cost of salon waxing or laser treatment, it's quite good value.
