Wow. Just wow.

So o started by using a manual hand help pump for expressing initially and was getting nowhere. I was lucky if I could express 1oz in 20 minutes. Something had to give. So I binned the manual and bought this electric pump, what an absolute game changer. Now I can express 5oz in 20 minutes. For me that feels amazing!

Would highly recommend to anyone starting out in their breast feeding/expressing journey. Absolutely fabulous pump and even better that you can buy replacement parts then you need them. Super easy to use.

I was really surprised!

I have never used a breast pump before mainly because I was scared to use one. I thought it would hurt and what would happen if it got stuck on me and I couldn't get it off? I mean that could happen, right? Well maybe, but with today's technology I'm sure they worked all the bugs out by now. These were the things going through my mind when weeSpring's Parent Panel sent me a Phillips Advent single electric breast pump for review. First off when I opened the box I was very surprised how lightweight it was and when I finally got up the nerve to try it out and was completely surprised. The cushion that you put your breast in was very soft and it has these things inside that they call petals. The petals stimulate your breast much like a child would while suckling. The best part is that it had three settings so you can adjust it as to your liking, and mood. The pump is very quiet so you won't disturb dad or the kids while they sleep. You could also use it discretely if you are away from home, especially if you are a working mom who needed to express immediately, you could easily duck into the bathroom without anyone even knowing. You can express while just sitting upright or even standing and you don't have to lean into it. The flow comes naturally all you have to do is relax and let it happen. The pump also comes with a bottle with a nipple much like ours, making it easy for the baby to take. They also throw in some pads for you to use. If you are a traveling mother this set up would be perfect for on the go. It is also very easy to clean. Take it from a non believer, you need one of these in your life, especially once they get those teeth! This would also be an excellent choice for that up and coming baby shower and I'm sure she will be thinking of you every time she uses it. This is a great product and I highly recommend it!
