Black Mask for nothing....

After seeing enough ads of girls using a black mask on their faces and peeling the mask off to find all kinds of gross things attached to the underside of the mask that had (supposedly) come from their pores, I decided to give it a try. I ordered Pil'aten Black Mask (actual spelling) from an ad on facebook. It cost me around $12. While I awaited my package, I kept thinking of all those girls on the facebook videos who were just amazed and beaming when they looked at the used underside of their mask and saw all that amazing gunk that had apparently come from them.

Well, I got my package and anxiously tried it out, eager to see what yuckiness could be found in MY pores.....TOTAL LET DOWN. There was NOTHING on mine at all, after following directions to the "T", which in and of itself was a challenge as the entire outside and tube was all in Japanese.

Then a few days later, I heard a reviewer say that it works great to pull of fine hair above the lip, so back to the Pil'aten Black Mask I went, this time even more excited as I hate fine hair! I wore a moustache of black around my house for almost an hour to let completely dry as in the first scenario. Then I ripped it off as fast as it would come. I leaned into the bathroom mirror hoping to see even SOME of the hair gone----NOTHING AGAIN!

The verdict? Save your $12 for coffee at Tim Hortons. Ugh.
