A friend got me hooked on Pinky vodka a few years ago. It was hard to come by for a while in Canada, but it's getting easier now. Taste great on its own and as part of a mixed drink.
I have been eyeing this Pinky Vodka for quite some time now.I actually first seen it a few years ago at the duty free shop at Heathrow airport on my way back to Canada I had it in my hands but decided on something else in the end.I then seen a few weeks ago a drink recipe for this called Pink Kat and knew ok its time to try this!
Pink Kat:
1 part Pinky Vodka
1 part club soda or tonic
1/2 squeezed lime
There website says this about the vodka:.........Pinky Vodka is “Distilled five times from pure glacial water and slightly sweet winter wheat, Pinky is hand blended with violets, rose petals, and ten other botanicals to create a flavor kissed with the delicate fragrance of a midnight garden (we have champion Scandinavian wine tasters to thank for that).”
The bottle is really pretty and looks like a giant perfume bottle the blushed pink vodka inside is so pretty and so girly looking. When I first opened it I got such a rush of floral scents. This vodka is defiantly unique!I made the pink kat recipe(I opted to use club soda and did not skimp on the freshly squeezed lime)This is such a nice summery drink and would be stunning to serve to guests with tonic or soda and some fresh fruit wedges, cranberries, limes, oranges even rose or violet petals floating in the drink.
I think it would also pair very well with a rich dessert.I can imagine some wonderful recipes you could also use this vodka in although it is a little pricey I would not want to waste it in cooking but I'm sure it would taste heavenly. If your looking for something unique this is certainly something to try. My head has already been scheming about trying to infuse my own rose petals and violet petals in standard vodka and perhaps some dark berries I'm sure I could achieve the same color. However I'm not sure what the other ten botanicals are in this drink but it would be fun to try duplicate this :)
