I use these on all of my smaller neices and nephews and I have to say that they are fairly effective. They last for a considerably long amount of time and the kids seem to like them.

My daughter has used this with both her sons. The refills are a bit pricey. She would fill them up with soiled diapers and it kept the odor in. Great product.

Diaper Genie is one of the greatest products for new parents. I can't stand the smell of stinky diapers and the only option we could think of before this was just to throw the diaper in a plastic bag and out the door, but then we'd have a stack of dirty diaper bags at the end of the day that neither of us wanted to touch! You Betcha Diaper Genie is great!

Ok so before my son was born (just over a year ago), we purchased the Diaper Genie (the one WITHOUT the foot pedal). Although at TIMES it masks some of the smell of stinky diapers, Ive been more than disappointed with the overall product. Aside from not totally masking the smell, with this one, you have to PUSH the diapers through the trap so they fall into the pail...leaving your hands stinky and sloppy from any previous diapers. YUCK! If we were to ever purchase one in the future, I'd DEF go with the one that has the foot pedal feature not only to protect my hands, but they 'trap' seems to spin around not letting ANY smell escape!
