Poise Hourglass Pads Reviews

Description

For added protection against leaks and bunching, new Poise Hourglass Shape Pads offer the protection you need for medium to heavy bladder leakage. The contour shape fits your figure without removing absorbency, while flexible leak shields provide a 3D fit to help reduce side leaks.

I find that Poise pads are too short. When you buy the long pads the front of them has a fold over area which still doesn't make them long enough. I also find that they don't stick very well to underware.

I found that the hourglass pads are too thick and uncomfortable. It shows through my underwear. I also find it a lil bit irritating. I usually wear thinner pads and I bought the light hourglass pads and they still do not compare to what I usually wear. I would recommend this for women over the age of 30. Not suitable for younger women.

This pad is great in terms of quality and effectiveness, but I was not a fan of the thickness of the pad. I recieved the normal pack, and although it did feel like a cushion it was really thick and very difficult to wear under jeans. It did a good job keeping everything clean with the super absorption - but it was too diaper-like for me. I think I prefer something more thin.

i thought the product was acceptable except that it was wider then i would have liked and not long enough. As for absorbency it was rather amazing, better than i thought.

I found that these pads were very effective but very uncomfortable. I am very petite person and felt like i was wearing a diaper. I normally would have used regular (slim/small) pads to manage LBL and i think for me, it may be a better solution until Poise makes pads that are smaller, or very in size.

I would recommend this to a friend if she was a bit bigger then me as i think they were great at managing my LBL. However for a smaller person i dont think these would be very comfortable.

I was thrilled when I opened my email and read I was selected for a product review for Poise Hourglass Pads. I have, like most, seen them in the stores for awhile now and wondered if they actually worked. So here are my own personal thoughts on the product. I do like that it comes in a nice looking purple package, not too flashy but not plain either. I mean, I know that I have an tiny issue with LBL but I don't need everyone to see that. Also, when I opened the inside package their was so much purple design on it, totally not needed. I do think the detail is a nice added touch, but there is a lot of it and it's not needed. I don't know about everyone and I know these are not "period" pads but I'm going to compare them for a second here. I hate having my period, wearing pads all the time is not my idea of fun. I was thinking the Poise pads would be more pantyliner like. I didn't feel comfortable, I could feel the thick pad all the time and I don't like that at all. Wearing this pad all day is just too uncomfortable, I would rather wear nothing at all. I mean, sure, they absorb, but so would a pantyliner, I know a pantyliner wouldn't keep a flood back but if you have just minor leakage then why would you want to have this huge thing all day. I don't currently use anything for LBL but I would rather wear a smaller pad opposed to this huge one. It's easy to put on, very effective (there is enough of it) and I think it's cute in appearance. But I don't think I would consider buying them in the future unless then slim them down a little bit. I wouldn't recommend these pads to someone with minor leakage issues, but I would likely if someone mentioned it happening often or in excess.

JUST A LITTLE ADDITION: AFTER THINKING OF MY EARLIER POST.....

Well, I did my own test. Took my Always pad and my Poise pad and a baby food jar. Filled the jar and poured it slowly onto the Always pad. It took in just under half a jar before it started leaking. The Poise pad took TWO baby food jars full of water before it started dribbling a little leak. So if you have a huge leak, are laughing so hard you pee your pants, Poise will definitely be there for you.

You take for example an Always pad (that's the brand I use for period protection and "Always" have, okay there was a little pun there). So, you compare Always to Poise and you find that Always are a heck of a lot thinner, I mean I could feel the Poise all the time, it's huge and bulking and just plain uncomfortable. I do love the design, a very cute added touch, but totally unnecessary. So, comfort ~ Always wins, size ~ Always wins, decoration ~ Poise wins. Comparing the absorbency ~ Poise definitely wins. So, All and all I have complaints about the size but it does do what it was made to do. I guess, despite my dislike for them I WOULD recommend them to anyone who has a bladder leakage problem, but not a tiny leak. :) If only these came in pantyliner size.

these pads are very effective for LBL but I found them to be quite bulky, they need to be made a bit smaller but overall I like them
