I purchased this because the commercial sold me on this. Who wouldn't like to make a cold sore invisible. I attempted to use this 2 days in a row but both times the patch came off within 2 hours. This was due to drinking a coffee.

It happens when you least expect it (or want it!). The dreaded Cold Sore! About a month or so ago, I was excited for my best friends wedding, and honored to be in the wedding party...that is until 2 days before the wedding when I woke to a tingle in my lip that quickly turned into a cold sore(yikes!). I was filled with dread. All I kept thinking of is photographers and the amount of people that were going to be staring at the mess I was going to have to try and disguise (which never works!) I ran to the drug store to get the cold sore lip cream I usually buy (that takes at least a week to improve!), when my husband suggested I try Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch. What a game changer! I was able to contain the virus so it didn't spread, it eased the pain and concealed my cold sore (you can even put lipstick over it!!). The healing time was much faster than any other medications I have used in the past, and I was able to go on with life (and had a great time at the wedding!) without being self-conscious of my cold sore. I will (and have!) recommend this product to everyone because IT WORKS!

With the changes in the season happening FAST it seems like I'm not the only one suffering with cold sores! I was immediately impressed with how QUICK the Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch starts to work, I don't like slathering stuff all over my face so I really enjoy the quick application that not only helps cover the ugliness but also helps with the pain. Polysporin is a brand I already trust, so I was pretty quick to try this one! :)

im a believer coz i get the nasty c-sores all the time typically i just apply the polysporin creme or if i dont have that i would use a diaper rash creme or a sunscreen to treat that i havnt tried the patch but i hear it does womders..

I get cold soars every year.They are really annoying and painful. I liked this product as it healed my cold soar quicker than if I didn't use it.

I have only tried this once or twice and from those time it worked but I don't see a huge difference from other cold sore treatments. The plus side is that with this patch you can put makeup over it.

Wouldn't ya know it... the morning of an important meeting and a darn cold sore pops out on the corner of my lip!! What to do?? I could leave it alone...nope, everyone will be able to see the ugly beast of a sore. I could try and cover it with some sort of makeup... nope, for sure it will stick out and then get aggravated from the makeup and just get worse.
So, off to the drugstore... surely there is something "new " there that will help tame this cold sore, and also make me look good to boot?? Yup, I found this great product and it worked great! Healed, hid and felt great. Not messy, not hard to put on and too boot I could put my makeup over!!! Great product, can't wait to try this on my kids when they get a cold sore( and they seem to get them when it is picture day or some other important day)

I'm not sure it worked any better than my usual remedy - dabbing peroxide directly onto the cold sore several times a day to keep the area clean and disinfected and help dry the sores out faster - but I loved being able to wear makeup over the patch. No need to skip my usual lipstick or gloss, and it certainly did a better job of camouflaging the sore than my usual sad attempts with concealer and/or foundation.

Given the price I probably wouldn't buy it again unless I found myself dealing with a cold sore and having to attend a special event (party, wedding, restaurant outing, etc.) but if I wasn't living on a tight budget I'd definitely keep a supply of these in my medicine cabinet.

I've had cold sores once or twice a year for the last 20 years, so my breakouts aren't as severe as they used to be (the body gets used to the virus, so breakouts are less severe as time passes). I can't say how this would handle a huge breakout, but it did a fine job on a small one (less than 1cm across in the lower left corner of my lip) .

I don't usually get cold sores but my mom regularly does and swears by these! An effective and easy treatment. No more ugly scabs, gooey creams that seep into her mouth, and (most important to her) she can still wear her red lipstick!
