Polysporin® Cold Sore Healing Patch Reviews
#1 in Remedies

Description

Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch uses hydrocolloid technology to effectively treat the cold sore. The patch forms a protective barrier that contains the virus and enables fast effective healing.

Directions for Use:  Apply POLYSPORIN® Cold Sore Healing Patch at first sign of an outbreak. When the patch starts to detach from the skin, remove it and replace it with a new one until cold sore is healed. Patches should be used 24 hours a day. On average, the patch will stay on for approximately 8 hours. You do not need to remove the patch every 8 hours, only when it begins to detach.

I am prone to cold sores and want to hide when I get them. I picked up the polysporin cold sore healing patch recently to try. I have to say that the initial price scared me a bit because if it didn't work I would be out a few dollars!! However I must say overall I am impressed and will use these in the future 100%. I absolutely loved that it covered the cold sore and blended well. I did not experience the usually burning, itching and pain that I usually get with cold sores and it never crusted or scabbed at all. My biggest love for these comes with the reduced healing time, I would say it took about 4-5 days less to heal and that wins me over. My biggest problem with them is that they are one size, and sometimes that size just doesn't work for you, and I experienced the patch puff up and go whitish, not really hiding anything anymore. I will most definitely be using these for my next cold sore, the good they do outweigh the bad by far!!

Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch is great. It really speeds up the healing process and helps to hide the sore which can be embarrassing. The only issue I had with this product was keeping it on daytime. I found that it would tend to start to come off around the edges the more I ate, drank and talked. Night time I had no issues at all, it stayed in place. Overall, I would recommend the product, the benefits far outweighed the bad parts.

I hate cold sores and unfortunately I get them all the time. It doesn't matter if it's summer or winter I'm bound to have one at least once every couple of months. Cold sores are not only painful but they look bad and they stay on your lip for at least a week. I also tend to always get one right before a special occation. I actually have one right now as I write this review. I tried everything from natural remedies to expensive creams. Yes they work and yes they heal the cold sore but they don't speed up the process in any way and they don't hide the cold sore from everyone else to see. Then I discovered Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch. I saw a commercial for it on TV and I said YES, finally. I went to buy the patches and yes I found them a bit pricey but you can find all kind of coupons for them online if you look. I had a wedding to go to and of course my lip was full of sores so I put on my Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch and covered it up with some foundation and lip balm and it was gone. I knew it was there but I couldn't see it and neither could anyone else and my pictures came out well. Would I buy it agian. Sure. Probably not for each time I have a cold sore but if I'm trying to cover it up for an occasion you becha!

I seem to be prone to cold sores and use this product every time. It helps to soothe the cold sore and makes it practically invisible. My one complaint is that if the cold sore is slightly on the inside of my lip the patch doesn't want to adhere there. Definitely speeds healing.

I generally get 1 - 2 cold sores a year. They are always on the same spot on my lip and thankfully don't get super huge but are big enough to be bothersome. Usually I just let it run it's course and maybe apply a topical ointment when it is in it's gross, crusty phase to try and soften it and stop it from cracking and bleeding.

Well, after being highly recommended by a friend, this time around I decided to try the Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch and see if it would help. I bought a pack for $16.99 and applied my 1st one the day after I started to feel the "tingle" in hopes that it would stop the cold sore altogether but, unfortunately, it still came. I found that they were a little bit tricky to apply at first because they stick so well - which I suppose it a good thing - so you have to make sure you get it in the right spot the 1st time or you could waste some. I was as careful as I could be, though I did waste 1 from the package, but once you got the hang of the application it was fairly easy.

The package says to reapply after 8 hours but I found that they would often stay on longer than that, depending on what food I ate or drank so I would apply after eating supper and most of the time it stayed on all night and often into the next day which was nice. Some reviews mentioned that they were painful to take off so I just moistened it with tap water and it came off very easily.

I really liked how I didn't have to be as careful about spreading cold sore germs to my husband or kids as the area was completely covered and how it stayed moist under the Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch so it never reached the crusty, cracking, bleeding stage. It didn't shorten the life-span of my cold sore but it made me feel much less self-conscious in public and it never hurt or bled once so in my books, it's a winner.

I will definitely buy Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch again for my next cold sore!

I usually get one or two outbreaks a year. I first discovered Polysporin cold sore patches about 18 months ago. I absolutely love the fact that I can cover it up without affecting the healing process. A little bit of concealer on the patch and I'm out the door. For myself, personally they work better than the yucky ointment that I used to get prescribed. Within 3-4 days I'm all healed up!

This is by far the best product currently on the market. I have tried everything from the gels to home remedies, but nothing worked. Until I can across the Polysporin patches that is. Not only does it allow you to cover up the sore while it's healing, it's actually gone within three days! It heals faster, feels better, and doesn't make you feel as though there is this hideous monstrosity on you face. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone that has issues with cold sores, it's the best and most effective choice.

My son unfortunately inherited the family sold sore gene. He has tried a variety of products both topical and oral , some working better than others but none working good enough. His cold sores get big , are very painful and while he has them he has a very hard time eating through the pain. I saw the Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch on the shelf in the drug store and bought it right away. I have always bought whatever came out new in hopes that something might work well for him, well ..... this is IT! not only does it speed the process of healing , but while it's doing its healing , the cold sore is actually covered so he can at least eat and drink normally. I applaud Polysporin for bringing out such an amazing product :)
