so I didn't try the Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch personally but my sister who gets at least a few a year did so this is on her behalf. "the patch is great for covering up your cold sore but for me it made my brake out worse. it took longer to heal and became painful. I would only use the patch again if I need to go somewhere important and didn't want it to be seen."
This product is good to sort of hide your cold sore but it makes the cold sore go from hard like a scab to soft and vulnerable again. The skin tends to rip off causing more redness and blood and it also turns yellowy. Eventually, you can no longer hide it with a sticker because it is too soft and yellowy. When the stickers starts to be come unstuck, it looks terrible and you are better off without one. but for the first few hours, it is worth using it to hide the sore. At $20 a pop, these are a pricey item.
I haven’t had a cold sore in quit awhile, that was until I went to my Dentist for a cleaning last week. That night I could feel one coming on and by morning it was there. I think it has something to do with the gloves they wear, but who knows for sure. I mentioned it to my buddy and she recommended I give Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patches a try because she found they worked well for her family. The web site has a printable $5 off coupon, so I printed it and pick some up the next day. They can be a bit tricky to put on, but once they are on they stay put for 24 hours at a time. You can put your makeup on right over top of the patch helping to hide it even better while you wait for it to heel. I really liked this part about them, but I didn’t find that they helped to heel my cold sore any faster then anything I’ve tried before. I really think it depend on the person and the severity of their cold sore. You get 15 patches per box that are all individually sealed and because one patch will last you for 24 hours you should have enough to last until its completely gone, or your happy its small enough not to wear one any longer. I’ll have to say this is one product that everyone would have to try and judge for themselves. It was nice to help hide it for me, but like I said it did seem to heel my cold sore any better or faster then what I’ve tried in the past.
I've been using the Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patches to help hide and heal my cold sores since 2012 and will continue to use them when ever one of those nasty cold sore pops up. They're very handy to have in your medicine cabinet because you just never know when a cold sore will appear. Help make them disappear quickly with Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patches.
