I get a cold sore a couple of times a year. Last year was very stressful and I seemed to get one every couple of months. I had a coupon for the patch and decided to try it. It was a miracle. I did waste one of the patches tryiing to get it on but once I had mastered it it stayed on and I felt human again. I didn't feel like everyone was shying away from me and sending emails to each other to stay away from my cubicle. :-) Once the patch was on I didn't feel the throbbing pain that came with my cold sores, I actually forgot I had one. I don't wear make up so I don't know how it affects the patch. My healing time is about 4-5 days and when I stop wearing the patch there is just a small red mark barely visible. I make sure I now have a package of the patch in my bag at all times. I've been catching the cold sore quickly enough that it never becomes a full blown episode. It's a pricey product but I don't mind paying for something that works so well.

I like this product, it really help cover a cold sore, when its broken and is hurting really bad, however i find the price is very high. Its not something I have to have, but defiantly really like.

I rarely get cold sores but when I do, I want to have them gone quickly. The treatments that I have used previously do NOT come close to the effectiveness of the Polysporin cold sore healing patch. It covers nicely , is very discreet and works quickly to dry up the cold sore. If you have tried the other treatments(ointments and potions) and you are not happy with the results, I can highly recommend that you try this product. You will not be disappointed.

Then duration of the usual 10 days was cut in half and it kept the pain and misery of it under control. I think this product does all it says it does, with one exception. While it definitely masks the cold sore, you can still see the circle of the patch. I don't wear foundation, so maybe for heavy makeup users, it would be concealed. So what I do is wear it from the second I get home from work, to the second I have to leave for work/go out in public. I use these patches in addition to oral medication, and it has helped speed up the initial development process the most. Probably the best perk, is that my cold sores don't seem to be as swollen as they usually are, nor as red.
