Polysporin® Cold Sore Healing Patch Reviews
#1 in Remedies

Description

Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch uses hydrocolloid technology to effectively treat the cold sore. The patch forms a protective barrier that contains the virus and enables fast effective healing.

Directions for Use:  Apply POLYSPORIN® Cold Sore Healing Patch at first sign of an outbreak. When the patch starts to detach from the skin, remove it and replace it with a new one until cold sore is healed. Patches should be used 24 hours a day. On average, the patch will stay on for approximately 8 hours. You do not need to remove the patch every 8 hours, only when it begins to detach.

I have tried other cold sore cream and none have given a faster relieve than Polysporin cold sore healing patch I highly recommend this to family and friends, actually a co-worker recommended this to me when I told her I couldn't find something that would give faster relieve. So happy she did.

I bought this in hopes of getting my cold sore to quickly disappear. Did it work? Yes. Was it quick? Nope. I bought this on a Thursday evening because I was hoping to get rid of it before heading back to work on Tuesday. It definitely sped up the healing process of my cold sore because after the first two days the cold sore kind of exploded? (TMI sorry) and then it kind of stayed wet for a day or two more. Slowly it started to scab and then it was healed fully by Tuesday-Wednesday. Would I repurchase again? Maybe, but its a pretty pricey product. I changed the patch at least twice a day. I woke up and changed my patch from the night before and then I changed it whenever I felt it was getting too loose. I guess in a way its better than applying oil on your lip all the time. It did an okay job making my cold sore invisible, but the patch was noticeable up close of course. I probably would use this over the ointments because it stops bacteria and other stuff from getting into your cold sore and allows it to heal in peace.

I was a little skeptical about it. It did work but it wasn't as fast as I thought it was going to be. It was easy to apply though and wasn't as messy as putting on a dab of white cream.
Plus the polysporin brand price tag was quite steep... though any cold sore cream is around the same amount.

Great product works for this unsightly and uncomfortable sore. Definitely recommend it if you don't have a script for something stronger.

I just got my first cold sore(s) ever and didn't know what it was or how to treat it until it was already too late to do much about it other than wait it out. However, I bought the Polysporin Cold sore healing patch in the hopes of it healing them up quicker. It's hard for me to say if they helped or not because my sores were already pretty bad by the time I used it. It seemed to be pulling out the infection though. I think it works more effectively if you use it at the first signs of a cold sore. I will probably try it again the next time I get one if I catch it soon enough.
Plus side; when I bought it, it was on sale at Zehrs for $14.99.

I frequently get coldsores in the winter months or when I am stressed. My lips have very thin skin so I am prone to getting coldsores. I find the Polysporin cold sore patches work great! The earlier you can apply one, the quicker the healing. I love how the patch completely covers the coldsore & surrounding area to prevent it from spreading. It also covers much nicer than using a cream or ointment that stands out against your lips. The Polysporin cold sore patch is virtually invisible. I usually wear it during the day and remove it at night to allow my lips to breathe. Followed by several peroxide applications to help speed up the healing time.

I find I get cold sores when I am sick or if it is cold and my lips get too dry!
When I feel it about to come on I am always on it right away as I hate when it gets to the scabby stage!( so embarrassing! )
So once a cold sore happens your ready to try anything. I found polysporin healing patch I was excited to try it as polysporin has always worked wonders in the past!
This is one product that worked well and I will continue to use it when I need to!

I have been using a competitors OTC product for my entire adult life living with these cold sores and I was sure there would be no way to ever look like I didn't have a cold sore, while having an outbreak. Enter Polysporin Cold Sore Healing patches! Bam! Feel that tell-tale tingle coming? See the little bumps? Grab one of these little patches, slip it on top of the offending spot and voila! You can sneak a little makeup on top and around it, carefully and with a light touch, and you'll be able to almost forget that you're having an outbreak at all. No messy creams, no crusty scabs, just on with the day.

Polysporin products are my first choice for any infection. If it doesn't work, then I go to my Dr. I haven't tried the Cold Sore Patch but I would like to and anticipate great results based on previous efficacy of Polysporin products!
