I tried this once. It is comfortable and yes you really can put make up over it. I would buy this again if i needed it

Polysporin products have always worked on me, and I was excited to try their Cold Sore Healing Patch. I get cold sores quite a few times in a year and it's always a pain and embarrassment when it's on your lips. My cold sores usually last for around 2 weeks, but after using Polysporin's Cold Sore Healing Patch, my cold sores are usually gone by a week. I like how it also soothes it so it doesn't hurt as much. The best part of it is that it covers up the cold sore and you can still apply makeup on top. A great way to hide the embarrassment. I guess the only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side.

This is a great product for cold sores as it not only heals it fast, but it covers it so that it doesn't give you more pain. After using this product, I was able to eat again the very next day. Effective!

I used Abreva before but when I saw this new Polysporin product I had to try. It is effective; it heals fast. I recommend it.

I regularly get cold sores from stress on my lips. I've tried other products, but even after applying a cream, it doesn't prevent your lip from cracking or salty/spicy food from burning the you know what out of it! I love the Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch because it provides a full layer of protection over your cold sore to fend off salt and other painful things. I've also never had my cold sore split of bleed with the patch on it, it keeps it really moisturized and helps it heal quickly too.

As for the reported problems with covering it further with makeup, just don't. It's virtually invisible on your skin and you simply don't need to.Pricey product, but I found it to be well worth the money.

I have always been a huge polysporin fan as having 2 small children it is one product that is always a necessity in my house. I have been an avid cold sore sufferer since I was in my teens. I normally purchase the lip ointments for cold sores and as much as they work, I have always hated the fact they sit like an ointment on the lips and if you lick your lips or anything it either moves around or develops a soft whitish look that cannot be covered up. I love the fact that this product not only works, but gives you the cold sore protection you need and still allows you to put makeup on top of it to camouflage the cold sore.
