Not sure
I'm not sure if I used this product incorrectly or what but I basically just ended up with a piece of plastic stuck to my cold sore. I tried to cover it up with makeup or anything but in the end it looked worse then just having the sore. It also didn't do much to aid in the healing process.
everyone is just being polite
You can definitely notice these patches on your face covering the sore. If people aren't mentioning it that's because they are polite and not pointing out a flaw, as to not embarrass the wear. And as for speeding healing time, again highly doubtful. I have found they haven't shortened healing time at all. They do manage to keep it covered so i will wear them to bed. But being a life saver they are claiming not so much. Sorry guy everyone can see your little round band aid they just aren't pointing it out.
Meh...
I bought this product, which was fairly expensive for a product that i found just okay. I had a coldsore in corner of my mouth and when i first applied patch it looked great covering up and healing sore as promised. But didnt last long. Within 10-15 min it would stArt to crumple up and stick to itself due to its location. Not good if the problem area is corner of mouth
Worked for me.
I started to use the polysporin when it first came out. The patch is rather big, so I try to cut in half to make it smaller. If you get the patch on before it actually blisters it seems to stop the spreading and it heals faster than any other creams I have tried. I will never use any other product because this does the job for me.
This one is 50/50.. I like that it is like a sticker so you close of your cold sore to any outside elements. However it does not stick very long as soon as any moisture touches it, it starts to peel off. It is very pricey and I'm not convinced it really spreads up the healing process.
Was planning to by this product because I had a coupon for it. Had a hard time to fond it In thé store. Then found it In a travel section. Wasn't too happy with the result. It doesn't stay on for a long time. After a while went and got Abreva. So I will stick with Abreva for a future.
I recently tried this patch to hide a cold sore for a job interview it did the trick but didn't stay on for very long and it didn't seem to shorten healing compared to Abreva. I used the patch during the day and at night continued with the cream it worked well.
I found it very easy to apply on the cold sore but had to avoid drinking or eating as it would come loose. While it was stuck on it covered it nicely. When it came time to take it off, I found it also took part of the healing cold sore with it and opened it up again.
I am using this product right now. I bought them after using a similar competitors product. I like that these are larger in size to their competitor, they provide more coverage. They have are reasonably effective at curing the sore and do a great job at stopping the throbbing pain. I like that I can wear lipstick over the patch to help hide the fact that I have a sore. They are expensive but they are worth it.
It works well for concealing but falls off too easily, when you don't want it too. I found it kept the sore moist, but didn't heal it any faster. Hard to pull off too.
