I've been using these patches for a couple of years now and they've become my go-to product when a cold sore pops up. The patch does a good job of hiding the cold sore and is considerably less conspicuous than topical creams. I love that I can eat and drink with the patch on without having to worry about re-applying medication. As for effectiveness these work about as well as (and possibly a little better than) creams of similar price. I appreciate the hygiene of having individually packaged patches over using the same tube of cream months later when my cold sore returns.

I always have these on hand in case a cold sore decides to show. I usually get 2 during every winter season. These patches make me less paranoid about the obvious sore on my lip. It helps it heal quickly. I find them discreet in most areas of the lip.

I had purchased these to try out as I frequently get cold sores, but was not very impressed. If your cold sore is on half of your lip & half on your skin it really hurts to take it off when it is time to replace. Only used it once & gave the rest away.

The polysporin cold sore healing patch is effective before the cold sore has become full blown. I put mine on when i felt a cold sore coming on. I found the patch was WAY to big for my cold sore but did not realize this until it was already on. So i left it on for hours, it stuck very well. Left the patch on overnight and removed it the next morning, where the cold sore was white and macerated. At this point i left the patch off and then put 1/2 patch on at night. These are also quite expensive, but i found it did cut my healing time down in at least half. I would use this product again.

This product didn't work for me. It did not stick well, cold sore came out under the patch and the sore leaked on sides of patch, totaly disgusting. Tried three times and always got same results.

I am a life long sufferer of cold sores and am st the point where my prescrptions meds are justbnot effective anymore. Welcome to my life Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patches! Recently i was suffereing with not one but two insightly sores. One on the bottom and on on the top. I knew from day one they were going to be monsters! So i literally ran to my nearest drug store and purchased the patches and so glad i did. The swelling in my top lip stopped by that niht and my bottom lip stopped tingling after the first patch. Yes, these are very pricy but you can't really put a price on a product that is going to knock the crap out of a cold sore! I will be using these babies again!

It pretty much just covers the cold sore and helps protect if from the elements. Doesn't seem to help it heal faster or prevent it from spreading. I have used this and Abreva, with the same results...dissappointing. The only thing that truly worked is prescription Valtrex. I had it prescribed my by dentist and loved it so much, my family doctor gave my an extended presciption. Always have some on hand. Pretty much stops a cold sore in it's tracks.
