Polysporin is a product name I use all the time. Polysporin Cold Sore Healling Patch is easy to use and worked very well for me. I usually just put salt on my cold sores to dry them out, but this is much easier and less messy.

I have had cold sores since childhood. I purchased these patches as a replacement of Abreva. I have a cold sore on my upper lip, so far have again been very pleased with the result. These patches do stick, even if the edges kind of curl. I have eaten coffee, tea, chicken wings, vegetables, salads, etc. They stay on, I have worn them through the night.

Although this product is very expensive, it works! My husband always gets cold sores, from working outside in the cold and also from stress. He wears the patch, which you don't even notice and its gone in 24hrs.

Whoever invented this gem needs to be knighted! I get cold sores quite frequently in very cold or very hot weather or when I am stressed - meaning a lot! When I feel them coming on, I stick on a little patch. The burning and itching stops immediately, and I can camouflage that I even have a cold sore witha dab of cover-up right over the patch! These are totally awesome and I am never without an 'in case of emergency' pack!

I've been a sufferer of coldsores for years. These patches do work. If my coldsore is tiny , I cut the patch in half , that way they last longer as they are kinda pricey. Also, when I take a the patch off, it's important to let your sore air out. Once it was sdried after removing said patch, I apply abreva, and let that sit for an hour before I apply a new patch. Along with taking l-lysine and Vit. C, my coldsores last about a week. Another tip, DO NOT Pick at or touch your sore , def. disrupts the healing process

ok so these do help u heal once you have a cold sore but u wanna know how to stop a cold sore before it gets all crasy . well once u feel it coming on dab some lavender essential oil on the tingly spot and the sore will be gone the next day but this has to be done the moment u feel a familiar cold sore popping up . i even use it if i have an itchy spot on my lip cus thats sometimes a sign that a sore is trying to come up. it has worked 100 percent of the time on me and my friends but wont work once the sore has fully formed . thats when these patches come into play.
