Pass on this flavour!

I really didn’t like this flavour. I could only take a couple bites. It just tasted off to me. Definitely grab the peanut butter and dark chocolate flavour instead of this! #gotitfree

Healthy power bar

Healthy, nutritious and good tasting snack all rolled into one. I am so impressed with the nutritional value without sacrificing the taste. This flavour though is just a little chewy so you might want to bite it into small pieces

On the Sweet side

I tried this after a workout since it has 10g of protein. I found this pretty sweet and nutty. It says there are no artificial sweeteners but there is a sweet taste to it. It was also pretty salty with the salted caramel in there making me want to drink a lot of water after. I could not really taste much of the chocolate in it which I enjoy so I don't think I would buy this one again but others may really enjoy it.

Sweet and salty, just the right mixture

I received this protein bar free in a box from Chick Advisor to test out. I've tried a few protein bars from different health food stores, Costco, grocery stores and variety stores. I didn't find that the "protein" taste took over, which was great! It was a like I was eating a granola bar.. with better ingredients! I enjoyed the size of the bar too... I felt full after, where if I eat a granola bar, I feel like I want to eat another one.

Too sweet for me :(

When I first took a bit of this bar I thought wow tastes like a chocolate bar - so sweet. The second bit I felt the same - the sweetness is overpowering. Then I get the bitterness of the plant protein. I did not find any cashew flavour. I also thought the texture was good - chewy and soft but its lacking a nice crunch. The chocolate drizzle looks elegant but doenst make up for the sweetness of this "health bar". I wouldnt purchase based on that.

Good tasting and nutritional too

The CASHEW, SALTED CARAMEL AND DARK CHOCOLATE is suprisingly not that sweet, which is great because I am trying to cut out sugar. It provides me with enough energy to get met through a work out. It is so simple to carry in my gym bag.

A treat for a special occasion

I received two PowerBar Plant Protein Cashew, Salted Caramel, and Dark Chocolate bars to assess free of charge from ChickAdvisor. These are different as their protein content is solely from plant-based products (peas, rice). Bottom line – I really enjoyed them. I loved the variety of textures and flavours in the bars. They weren’t quite as crunchy as the almond bars from the same company, so they are my second favourite of the three varieties I received. The dark chocolate really helped with the somewhat overly sweet taste. Despite the higher protein content, they are quite high in fat (13 g) so they will be something I'll have as a special treat now and then. But something to definitely look forward to.

A bit too sweet

I received this plant based protein bar free from XY Stuff to try out and review. I was pleasantly surprised on how well this bar tasted. Unlike other protein bars, this one had no after taste. The dark chocolate flavour complemented the caramel and cashews. However, I did find it to be a bit too sweet. That being said, I will look forward to buying this bar occasionally.

My favourite!

10 gram of protein, 7 grams of fibre, 10 grams of sugar, 190 mg of sodium. This one is my favourite. It's still too sweet and too salty. If they cut back on both it would be perfect. I love the cashews, caramel and chocolate. Good chewy texture and filling.

Flavor-packed and tasty

This PowerBar plant protein bar was delicious and what sets it aside form others is the thin layer of chocolate. Many people might avoid it for this reason, thinking it unhealthy, but it is so thin that it serves only to enhance the flavor. That flavor is amazing - the cashews and other ingredients are *packed* into the bar, making it incredibly tasty and filling, and what's best.... I #gotitfree :)
