POWERBAR PLANT PROTEIN DARK CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER

The dark chocolate peanut butter plant protein powerbar was my least favorite flavor of the 3 I received for review. The dark chocolate was overpowered by the peanut butter, which made me give up after a couple of bites. I found the texture to be quite hard to bite into and I would much prefer a chewier version with less sugar.

Good peanutty flavour, but too sweet

I received a sampling of Power Bar plant protein bars to try out through Chickadvisor. I like to keep a granola bar or Power bar in my purse for a little pick me up. The dark chocolate peanut butter bar was probably the one I preferred out of the three flavours I sampled. However, as with the other bars, I found it too sweet and I just don’t like fake chocolate. I would rather they used real dark chocolate or leave it off altogether.

for non GMO it's decent.

I thought this one would be the best one turns out I was wrong I forgot to mention in the other posts that these are NON-GMO which I love and support 100% but this one was the least flavorful one. peanut butter flavor was ok probably wouldn't buy this one.

Ok, but not our favourite

This bar is good, it has similar qualities to the others in the product line. However, it wasn't a favourite in our home. It could be that we aren't big peanut butter fans, or that maybe it was the pairing, but I probably wouldn't choose this particular bar again. Thankful to have received this from the XY Club to try and review!

Powerbar

This plant protein bar from PowerBar is actually really good. It has a great peanut flavor with a nice crunchy but gooey enough texture so it doesn’t get all over you (hate those vegan bars that turn into chalky crumbs and get all over you and the car). The dark chocolate is a nice addition to the bar, but honestly it doesn’t even really need it. The peanut crisp can stand on its own. Two other things I like about this bar

A good snack

I liked this one but it wasn't my favorite bar. I prob would choose this one again. But it did make a good post workout snack after a spin class or a walk.

Ok but not for me

I recieved this sample for free from Chick Advisor. My family tried these bars while on the run to all the sporting events we have. It was a great snack to keep them going. I like that it was a more natural product but the taste was not to there likeing.

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Powerbar Disappoints

I recently received 2 Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Powerbar's in exchange for my honest opinion. Of all 3 flavours sent, this one was the most palatable but still a disappointment. The bars were so hard that they hurt my teeth. I thought maybe it was just me so I shared some with my daughter and she also commented on the density of the bar and how difficult it was to eat. The flavour was decent and it had a nice amount of chocolate. I wouldn't purchase this bar because of the texture but if it were re-formulated to be chewier I would reconsider.

Thanks to ChickAdvisor I got to try these 3 awesome flavours of PowerBar’s plant protein bars. Thank you ChickAdvisor & PowerBar!! Now, I got it free but I’ll always be honest.

The Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Plant Protein Bar didn’t make it worth it for me. I know they are better calories than a chocolate bar, but they almost double some chocolate bars. I know they aren’t a candy bar and they have protein - which has calories; but I think they kinda fall between to two needs for me. The first being a sweet craving, and the second being a protein bar. They don’t seem to have enough protein to really be a protein substitute for me (maybe because they are vegan), and they are too high in calories to be a nutritious sweet fix. And I found this flavour more dry and less delicious. I felt like it was almost plain peanut butter. Not enjoyable.

Not my favourite

I got 3 flavoures and this was my least favourite of them, it’s ok but I wouldn’t buy it again. The protein bar bent in my work bag and I found that it melted and got quite messy the chocolate flaked off on my clothing when I ate it
