I tried the PowerBar ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar Lemon Poppy Seed at work as a snack and it took pretty much the entire day to get through it. I did not enjoy the taste at all. It was very chalky in texture and I had to drink lots of water to help get it down. I will not be purchasing this flavor in the future.

I got a free sample of this product in exchange for an honest review. I got to try the chocolate peanut butter flavour along with the lemon poppyseed. I have to say that I enjoyed the lemon poppyseed one. The texture was interesting, I want to say it was almost more like a dense cake-like texture rather than a granola bar, which is more what I was expecting. The flavour was good, I didn't get a huge hit of lemon but you could definitely taste the poppyseeds. They did get stuck in my teeth a bit, but not sure what you can do about that. I would eat it as a snack anytime. At 200 calories for the bar, it is roughly equivalent to a chocolate bar, except it has tons of protein. I'm not sure how much they cost, but I would eat it again for sure!

I was a bit skeptical when I first saw this bar. Other protein bars on the market that boasts "fruit" flavored bars always turns out to be a disappointment as it just has too much of a "chemical" or "plastic" taste. But boy was I surprised after one bite. Perfect lemon flavour and just the right amount of softness/chewiness. Unlike the Peanut Butter flavor, I actually found this bar the perfect amount of sweetness.

The only thing that I am a bit hesitant about is that it uses whey protein. Would have been better if soy protein was used instead, but otherwise, I loved this bar!

I didn't expect such a strong lemon flavour from a protein bar. I enjoyed it because it was not too sweet. I like that it has 20g of protein and only 2.5g of saturated fat. It could be a bit more moist , but I think for a protein bar, they did a good job.

I like the texture and taste of these protein bars. They're not overly chewy and not as sweet as other competitors. It's great that they use real Whey Protein Isolate, instead of soy protein.

The only main issue that I find not so great about them is that they use alcohol sugars. As alcohol sugars aren't exactly sugar, it is easy to think the bars are low in sugar and therefore healthy; however, alcohol sugars are still processed into the body an blood like real sugar and effect glucose levels (ie. if you are diabetic please watch out) I think this product is generally healthy and wouldn't do harm to most people but it is a good thing to keep in mind.

While this protein bar is packed with protein and has very little sugar in it you can be sure that you are picking a healthy snack, the taste was less than desirable. The lemon flavour just didn't work with the texture of the bar, and had a terrible after taste. This one unfortunately was a miss for me.

This tasted amazing. No cakey protein texture. Lemon was evident but could use more poppyseed. I'm surprised it only has 3G of sugar. I will look out for it in the grocery store. The bonus was the way chick advisor packaged the products to me. I felt the VIP treatment!

PowerBar ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar Lemon Poppy Seed filled me up throughout my day! Its a great pick me up bar that's quick and easy to eat. The taste is delicious, the texture is creamy and chewy. Bar is big, its like a meal replacement pretty much. I would repurchase it. I love how its reduced in sugar, its sweet but not to the point where its empowering. It helped me get through my day without getting hungry. It has a lot of protein content so its good for after or before the gym. #gotitfree

PowerBar ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar Lemon Poppy Seed is a good tasting protien bar. I like the unique flavour of this bar but I found it too sweet especially for a low sugar bar. I do not undestand why I felt like there was more sugar than an ordinary bar. This bar was not dry or chalky and satisfied my hunger . I would eat it again but definitely not everyday. This actually tastes really good. I like that this is an uncommon flavour and is the best so far in masking that distinct chalky taste. Would def by this flavour again and at reduced sugar and a 2.99 price tag j can't go wrong!
