This protein bar doesn't taste like a typical protein bar, which in itself is probably not a bad thing. The texture is definitely lighter than regular bars and the lemony flavour is a nice change from the usual chocolate or peanut butter flavour.
I think these bars will be a nice alternative especially in the summer as they seem almost refreshing!
I received this as part of the Product Review Club. I tried the lemon poppy seed after the peanut butter chocolate and while I prefer the peanut butter chocolate, this one is still quite good. It has a nice light flavour which is a nice change to normal protein bar flavours. You do get that powdery protein taste but it does have 20g in every bar so you can't win them all! It's not something I would eat everyday but great as a pre-workout (or post) boost if you're pressed for time. It's quite dense and filling so I would think even half a bar at a time would suffice. Will probably buy again!
I received this for free for testing purposes. This is my favourite protein bar! Tastes like a lemon poppy seed muffin.I love that its pretty healthy and it actually kept me full. I would definitely purchase these.
The nutritional value is great, I just can not get past the taste. I love lemon poppyseed, but maybe leave that flavour for baked goods. Others may love it but it is not something I will be purchasing .
Received these bars through the Product Review Club. I didn't really enjoy the flavour of the Lemon Poppy Seed bar, I found it gritty and not that pleasant. I did like the low sugar, but wasn't a big fan that it was just substituted with sweeteners. Was a fan of the nutritional value and they did make me feel full longer which was a bonus.
I received PowerBar ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar Lemon Poppy Seed for free. My overall opinion is that these bars taste good but not as good as the Creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter and the protein definitely help you feel full longer. High Protein, Low Sugar.
I was lucky that I was given the chance to try these for free! I am really surprised with the taste of the lemon poppy seed Powerbar. Usually I find things in lemon flavor to have a real artificial or chemical taste. This bar I found actually had a pretty good tart lemon taste. I find the texture of the bars to be a little grainy, but I really enjoyed the white chocolate. This bar also left me feeling very full and full of energy. I could definitely see myself eating one of these before a big hike.
I was so excited when I was pick to review this product #gotitfree #powerbar @powerbarcanada @#chickadvisor. I am a healthy individual and always watch what I put in my body. When I got this product I was extremely happy to see reduce sugar, 5% fiber and gluten free as these are a main avoidance in any of my daily food intake. Although the sodium is high and I try to keep my sodium intake down. The flavor of the Mormon poppy seed is really nice and fresh but not a fan of the texture it's a tad dry and hard to get down I needed water to get most of it down. Mostly I liked it but I have had better for sure. Thanks for letting me try this product.
The PowerBar ProteinPlus Lemon Poppy Seed flavour has a great taste to it and I like that the bar isn't overly hard when biting into it - it is rather soft actually. It contains 3 grams of sugar, 20 grams of protein and it is gluten-free. I #GotItFree and was glad to be able to try out something new!
I feel mixed about this particular flavor. In terms of taste it is average. As someone who is not really a fan of lemon flavoured desserts and things of that sort, the taste wasn't too bad. The texture was what I did not really like. The lemon cream part is good. It is soft and creamy and not too sweet but the texture when you bite into the bar is what I am iffy about. It starts to feel gritty as your are chewing. The nutritional content however I really like because you get a great amount of protein and some fibre in there but low sugar. It does hold you up for a couple hours as a snack between meals
