Never ever again

I did not enjoy this product. To me it tasted like chalk. I'm glad I didnt pay for it. I hope it wouldn't have tasted better because I love lemon poppy seed everything.

Okay taste but detrimental sweetening ingredient

I #gotitfree from @chickadvisor to try and really wanted to enjoy it but was really disappointed with the sweetening choice. If you do your research, you will know it isn't good for you. The lemon-poppy taste was a nice change from the normal ones companies sell though. Can't recommend though.

I was excited to try this product, but was really dissapointed in the taste!
Overall it doesn't taste as good as it looks.
I couldn't finish the bar, because of the weird after taste .
The texture is soft & chewy, but it taste like playdough ..
Really dissapointed!!

Missed the mark on this

I did not like the taste or the texture. I felt like the flavour was not strong enough and had an almost chalky taste. There are better tasting proteins out there.

dissatisfaction with this product

you know for us the active people After you’ve pushed yourself as hard as you can, you need the proper nutrients to help recover, so I was supper excited to try it with the label “Reduced Sugar” plus the flavour of a lemon poppyseed ... thought yum!!but when I snacked on this Protein Plus Power Bar They were really hard on my gut, so I vomited. wait even if don't have allergies Watch out some of the ingredients of such products you may dont like.Yes looking at the ingredients on the back it contained whey powder from big. also Maltitol A sugar alcohol they need to put a warning on these things or have the FDA do something to ban this stuff! not buying it as there are now bars which not only taste a lot better but also have better nutrition profiles.#gotitfree from chickAdvisor, thanks for giving me such opportunity

Unpleasantly Chalky

I receive PowerBar's ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar Lemon Poppy Seed bar from ChickAdvisor complimentary for review/testing purposes but all opinions are my own.

Unfortunately my honest review isn't very good... I don't like these bars at all. The two flavours don't even have the same nutritional stats which I think is silly if you are trying to incorporate them into a structured meal plan, the peanut butter chocolate has nearly double the sodium as the lemon poppy seed! I've moved to vegan protein so that rules these bars out as they have a trisource blend protein as well.

And of course taste... They have the typical low quality protein taste, I wasn't able to finish a full bar without feeling my mouth was full of chalk. I certainly won't be buying these when I can make my own tasty protein bites at home!!!

I personally didnt like this power bar ,wasn't a fan of the lemon flavoring and there was too much poppy seed making it too gritty .I was only able to eat two bites , definitely not something I would consider buying .I would not recommend this to anyone who doesn't care for lemon .#gotitfree

PowerBar ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar lemon poppyseed was terrible! I was super excited to try these bars when I saw they were 20 grams of protein and only 3 grams of sugar. But then I noticed the astrix. When I looked at the nutritional label I was shocked to see 25 grams of carbohydrates!! How could that be possible with only 3 grams of sugar? Further inspection of the label showed 17 grams of sugar alcohol!! Aka sugar with a different name.
There shouldn't be more sugar than protein in a nutritional bar! It's just another marketing ploy to trick the uneducated consumer. Catch phrases like gluten free and high protein low sugar might trick someone, it not this girl!
Also the taste was awful! It tasted artificial and strange. I felt like I was eating lemon cleaner.
All in all this product did NOT deliver on nutritional value or taste and I would never recommend them or buy them myself. Glad I got them free because I would be demanding my money back if I paid for them!!
