Vanilla Bar that is Dense and Chewy!

This bar can be purchased at Metro for $2.50, although it often goes on sale where you can get 2 bars for $5. Each bar is 210 calories. There are a good amount of vitamins and minerals in each bar; 10 g protein (40%); 15% calcium and 10% iron. When you first open the package, the bar smells like canned dog food which is not pleasant. The coating on the outside of the bar tastes like a mix between a thick Greek vanilla yogurt and a white chocolate. It has a nice sweetness to it. The bar does not have a protein powder flavor and it has a strong taste of natural, not artificial, vanilla. The bar itself is soft, thick, dense and chewy. When you eat the bar you get the nice sweetness and smooth texture from the yogurt coating on the outside and then that dense and chewy vanilla taste from the protein portion on the inside.

Delicious Sweet Vanilla Taste- Like Vanilla Yogurt

I bought this bar from Metro for $2.50 on sale a little while back. Each bar is 210 calories and contains 20 grams of protein. This is part of the reduced sugar line of protein bars from PowerBar. This bar was more than I expected- it was delicious. There is a weird unpleasant scent to the protein bar, which needs to be overlooked. The bar has a yogurt coating, which has a sweet vanilla yogurt taste. The inside of the bar is soft and chewy. There is a nice vanilla flavour to the bar, which was surprisingly not artificial at all. It reminded me more of eating vanilla yogurt. There is only an ever so mild protein taste, if at all. I plan on buying more.
