Works great on carpet

I got this vacuum on sale, the price was pretty great! It's pretty decently priced when not on sale also, but the value isnt as good.
Its suppose to work on carpet AND floors.
Works very well on carpet, to the point it picks up dirt I didnt even know was there, but spits everything in behind itself when I go to use it on my hardwood.
