Premier Protein Chocolate Shake

I received the Premier Protein Chocolate Shake for free in exchange of an honest review.
The taste of the shake was ok. It was kind of like medicine. I like the fact that it has 30g of protein and it did keep me from snacking after my workout, but the taste prevents me from wanting to purchase it again.

Doesn't taste how I would like it to

I really wanted to like this product. It is so full of protein, easy to consume, very little sugar, and even has many vitamins and minerals!! What is not to like?
I had such high expectations, and I was kind of disappointed. This did not taste very good at all. I have read a couple of reviews saying it tastes like chocolate milk, however I did not find that to be the case. It is way too artificially sweetened, and had more of a chalky texture/flavour to it than anything.
That being said, I feel that it does fulfill its effectiveness in that it does keep you full, especially when you are on the go, and do not have time for any other food/drinks. I can also see how it could be added to different smoothies, where the taste could be covered up. I do see its potential that way.
That being said, I am someone that is always on the go, and need a protein shake that is good to bring on the go with me, and is easy. If I could get over the taste, this would be for me. However, I can't, so I will have to keep looking for something different.

Protein yay, aftertaste nay!

The positive and singular thing I like about the shake is the 30g of protein and low sugar content.
The taste reminds me of a alternative milk powder (smells like it too) with a hint of chocolate that doesn't cover the strange aftertaste. I tried to add some squeezable chocolate to cover it up, but it will not mask it.
I know most health products don't taste good, so I'm not being a harsh judge taste wise, but I don't know what to mix it with to hide that aftertaste. At least with the vanilla one I could pour it in coffee or crush ice and make a frozen type treat, but a frozen chocolate version doesn't make it better.
I know protein in any form is expensive so I can't comment much on that.
I will not be purchasing these chocolate shakes because of the ingredients carrageenan and DATEM, and the aftertaste.

just so-so

PREMIERE PROTEIN CHOCOLATE PROTEIN SHAKE like it's vanilla counterpart is thick and fullbodied. While there is a notable chocolate aroma there is very little in the way of flavor; it is also too sweet for my tastes.

tastes pretty good but includes artificial sweeteners!

30g of protein is a lot so I was excited to give this shake a try. It tastes pretty good but is really sweet with a bad aftertaste, which made me suspicious since it only has 1g of sugar. I assumed it would be stevia or a natural sweetener but it is not. It is two of the worst chemical fake sugars. I avoid these two sweeteners like the plague so I was really disappointed. The bottom line is that it tastes good and has a ton of protein so if the inclusion of artificial sweeteners doesn't bother you then this is a great choice. For me I would not purchase this product due solely to the artificial sweeteners included.

Too sweet

I was happy to try one of these after spending the morning picking up leaves in my backyard. It was however very hard for me to drink all the bottle, it was way too sweet, strong artificial taste that I couldn't get over unfortunately.

Very chalky aftertaste

I was given the opportunity to try the chocolate Premier Protein shake from @chickadvisor. I really didnt care for the chocolate taste or aftertaste. I will say it wasn't too sweet which was good for me.
The chocolate taste is very light. But the worse for me was the chalky aftertaste and how it left my mouth feeling coated with a film. I will not purchase this one. #gotitfree

Better choices out there

I am very active, regularly use protein and have very good knowledge of nutrition, fitness, health foods and supplements.

At first taste I thought "Mmm this is YUMMY!" but then after the first 3 inital sips I found it nauseating. It is soooo sweet!!! To the point that it prompted me to have another look at the nutritional label and ingredients list on the back. I was going nuts trying to figure out if they use Aspartame in it because it gave me that sick feeling that Aspartame and other sweetners give me. (Research Aspartame, trust me)

The ingredients list was so tiny I could hardly read it but I was sure there was some sort of sugar substitute or form of sugar under a sneaky different name in this.

I still forced myself to drink it a bit more so I can properly review it and give it a fair chance but I got about half way and just stopped.

It did not leave me feeling good at all, I felt so sick afterwards.

I did feel very full after drinking half so I guess it is good for people who want to use it as a meal replacement.

I rather just buy my usual high-quality powdered protein and mix my own protein shake. Sure it may not be as conveinent as grabbing a box and heading out but it makes me feel good and doesn't taste as artificial.

A great start, but improvment to be made tastewise.

I had the opportunity to try Premier Protein Chocolate Shake for trial purposes from ChickAdvisor. This shake has a lot of really great things going for it. I really liked that it only has 1g of sugar and 160 calories, and has 30g of protein. I unfortunately did not enjoy the taste. I found it to be chalky was not very chocolatey. I probably won't purchase this in the future, but I could see this being great for others.
